Coconut Cafe' Caribbean Restaurant

Was on my lunch break and walked around looking for a halal restaurant, came across this and loved the jerk chicken with rice and peas! Curt was cool. A bit unconventional, you ask Curt for the menu and it's cash only, so I gave my order and went out to get cash from the Sainsbury's across the road. Perfect spice levels and a very filling portion. Will definitely come back again! 👍🏾

Very impressed with the consistently good quality food I've ordered from Coconut Cafe. Clearly made with love, tastes authentic and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Only thing I recommend would be more transparency regarding what the menu items are and what ingredients are used, especially on deliveroo descriptions. For example the steamed veg dish has barely any description and I thought it'd come with sauce, only to later find out over the phone that we should've written in the comments that we wanted a pot of jerk sauce with it. Nit-picking but hopefully it's a bit helpful! Highly recommend.

Food is always on point! My favourites are the brown stew chicken and macaroni. The man and his wife (I believe) who own it are really lovely. I always lean on the glass and he always kindly reminds me not too. My nieces favourite is the barbecue chicken wings and rice and peas. It's one of the only Caribbean restaurants in the area and as a person with a Caribbean background and use to Caribbean food this is one of the best Caribbeans I've been too. You have to try it for yourself.
