The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming! The coffee is always such a treat (particularly the oat cappuccino, genuinely the best place that does them for me!). Love coming here before university.

Oval is a very busy place but strangely not very rich in bars and cafe', that's why Lusitana is considered a safe port in the area, this family-run cafe shines first of all for the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, but not only, it was one of the first places in the area, many yeaers ago, to provide the "real espresso experience" and after all this time, they still do it admirably. Here you'll find a great selection of grilled panini and more traditional sandwiches and a sinful selection of freshly baked pastries, ,try the "Nata" and the "Florentines" and you'll now what i'm talking about!!!!!

Fabulously good coffee (the owners use it to attract aficionados!) relaxing and comfy. Excellent savouries - I've had toasted bacon & cheese here for 15 years and more and I regard it as the benchmark.
