Poppies - London - Photo album

Our first London meal was an excellent one. We started off with jellied eels out of curiosity. Very much NOT our thing, but this appeared to be a good preparation. Easier to stomach with the chili vinegar and hot sauce. The fish and chips were outstanding. Massive piece of crispy fresh haddock ser
Poppies Fish and Chips is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you're transported back to the 1950s with its fantastic retro-style decor. The ambiance is simply fabulous, creating a delightful dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. The fish and chips here are not just good;
Just a chip shop with nothing special in terms of service or atmosphere. Apparently this chip shop has been around awhile and had several famous people there apparently. As for the food, the halibut was more crispy and the cod was more buttery. The chips were thick and fluffy, but I would've preferr
Best fish and chips I have ever had. Really friendly wait staff. Very fast service. Price for a single fish dinner and a pint of beer was almost $50. But everything here is expensive.
Food was better than expected. We had the cod, halibut and the sausage. The curry sauce is a must. Prices are not cheap. Service was great. Checking us from time to time.
Had a great meal at Poppies. I had their haddock with chips as well as a side of mushy peas. A lovely British experience, the fish and peas were flavourful and staff were super helpful and kind.
Place with a very good location. I liked it because there are many customers, so the food is fresh. It is an old place, which they have very well arranged to fit many tables. The service is good and fast. It's not a fancy place, but it does have good food. This place was recommended to me for F
Solid Fish and chips and a very good steak pie. it's a decent little chain I kind of Fish and Chips sit downs very akin to the feel of USA chain Cracker Barrel.
Located in the lanes of SOHO has the highest rating in TripAdvisor. Which is attracting a lot of tourist. Living up to it's ratings across fish and chips are delicious. Nothing fency inside. If you're craving for fish and chips, don't miss this place.
Most amaaing fish and chips i had in London ! The plates are big and the beer is really good ! You don't have to wait long for your plates to arrive. There is a lot of shops around and the inside of the restaurant is also beautifull !
This place is full of 50s inspired decor. Very cute setting and atmosphere. The service was great they're so quick with the food! Ordered the fish and chips obviously! I ordered the cod and my sister ordered the haddock. The haddock was way tastier than the cod! We visited this spot twice. Loved it
I love the vibes of the place—such a throwback. The fish is fresh tasting, but I'd say if you've had good fish and chips at one place, you've had good fish and chips at all other places. It's pretty slandered fair, so if that's your game, you're golden. The cream soda was different than what I was u
Such a popular place for fish and chips. While we were tourists, the most amazing thing we noticed is that the restaurant was not filled with tourists. Certainly, I'm sure Poppies gets it fair share of tourist wanting to say that they enjoyed Fish & Chips in London. We arrived around 3PM on a Thu
Poppies is a very touristy place to go. My experience was great. Located in the Centre of London Soho, this location provided excellent service and quality food. As a person with allergies, the staff took very good care of me. Friendly and great service from the staff!
Greetings from NYC! Great fish & chips spot. Tried the chicken meat pie, haddock fish & chips, and mushy peas.(Advice for fellow Americans coming here for first time; remember to salt & pepper your fish & chips. They don't come pre-seasoned. You'll need to put the amount of salt & pepper yourself. A
