Excellent. It was an amazing experience. It was a gift from my best friend and we had champagne with bar snacks type stuff. I really enjoyed the views but didn't like the cocktails so had a different drink. It was a dark day in London but still got to see London in all its moody splendour.
My wife and I booked an afternoon tea through groupon at Vertigo 42. Everything went very smoothly and the check in process was effortless ! We were immediately served our champagne followed by our food and lastly our tea. We had a great time and for the price we cannot complain much about our date all! You pay for the view which is fantastic and then the rest is a bonus. I would say if you are going for the afternoon tea voucher do not expect it to substitute a proper meal. The sandwiches were very average but we did enjoy the scones and dessert. Must do when in London. Would bring friends and family for the expierence ! Well worth it.
Love this place, they offer a beautiful afternoon tea for two or sharing platter amongst other dishes available to order, stunning views of London, Great for a catch up and glass of Champagne or cheeky cocktail @chaybix
Great views all around the Bar but especially love the views of St Paul's and across to the Shard. Champagne bottles start at around 50 quid or glasses around 8 quid. Considering the Shard is 30 quid per person to go up it's good value really. Really enjoyed the views.
Afternoon tea, service and view was amazing! They really took our needs into consideration to ensure they provided the best service. The afternoon tea was very tasty - especially the warm, soft scones! Highly recommend, whether its a girly catch up to a date/birthday/anniversary etc!
Amazing views over London and definitely worth having the experience enjoying this with cocktails and a sharing platter at a special offer. As they only do highteas and cocktails the seating arrangement (barstool like seats) is alongside the windows facing the city and beyond. Not the most comfortable hence 4 stars not 5.
Nice views (mostly west and north direction views, very limited south view, no east view), only window-facing tables, good service, decent snacks and nice cocktails for relatively relevant "42nd floor" price. Easy booking, good availablity.
A really fancy experience for commoners like myself - admittedly we got in on a Groupon deal. After handing in our voucher and bags we were served by friendly and prompt staff. Most importantly, the view, nibbles and cocktails were amazing!
Great place! We went there on our anniversary and it was a goood choice. We were seated in a perfect spot to see the sunset. Breathtaking, the views are absolutely stunning. Staff was very friendly and professional. We were taken care of immediately. If I had to change anything I would tell the staff to concentrate on guests, because we had 3 different people asking us the same thing 😂 but I do understand that there is a huge turnover and they want to make sure we were taken care of. Great place to pop in for a drink or a glass of champagne before heading out to the city. I like the decor, very straight. The mirrors around and everyone dated in front of the windows, really cool. And even though there was a lot of people, we didn’t feel it. I am definitely coming back! Vertigo 42, thanks for making our anniversary even more special!
Absolutely loved this! Afternoon Tea for our date day... It was perfect! Food was lovely, staff were great and view was amazing! Definitely recommend! Definitely going back!
Came here on a Saturday night, had a great evening. Reservations are compulsory and can be done online. Mixture of high chairs, low chairs and stools. Better view on the river side.
Extensive champagne menu (it's their specialty). The cocktail menu isn't particularly creative, but that's fine. Prices are £14.50 for a cocktail and £8 for spirits (all double measures as standard). Which is reasonable when you consider the location and view. Food consists of snack platters (cheese board, charcuterie etc) and to me it seemed expensive for what you get, but the quality was excellent.
The only thing we didn't like was the loud tinny dance music played through their terrible speaker system, no one is dancing here... Go with something different!
Excellent views of London. This bar offers a quieter and more intimate experience, with a narrow seating area following the windows around the building, which wraps around the kitchen area walled off in the centre. This layout means that it’s perfect for couples or small groups, but not suited for larger groups (4 max). You can walk around to see 360 degree views. Slightly dated compared to some more modern high rise bars.
Such an amazing experience, afternoon tea with an impressive view! I booked it for me and my partner via Groupon, such a great deal for the price I paid. Would defiantly recommend!
We went for the view. The tea items were minimum that could be served but were ok in taste, not much selection for vegetarians but hey! It's a champagne bar after all so all ok with us... especially with beautiful views all over London skyline!! Staff was very friendly and courteous to us...will definitely visit again
Absolutely amazing experience. The staff were polite and professional as was the chap at front of house. Views were of off this world. Great way to spend the afternoon. I will be going back.
