Wow, we haven’t even finished eating dinner and feel the need to recommend this place. 5 dishes, including BBQ, and each one perfect. Flawless service to boot. No question, our new favourite Korean restaurant in London. !

As a Korean, the food here is good to average but nowhere near excellent. Also as a Korean, the food is very expensive. The quantity is not so good. I have to say the atmosphere the restaurant creates is very nice.

Never a bad experience at this place! Great food. Great service. Great ambience. It's one of my go-to places in Maida Vale. It's always a hit with anyone I take there.

We went on a Monday night and they were about 70% full which was a good sign, mostly locals. We were a party of 12 there for a birthday - four of our guests were vegetarians so we parked them together so they could have their own grill and avoid having to pass food around the table.

I've been to Seoul and have eaten at several Korean restaurants in London ranging from East London to New Malden. The food at Gobi is up there with the best of them and I honestly think it's probably the best I've had in recent years. The service was very personable, friendly and sharp... there was never any wait for extra bits and pieces. The decor is quite New York, ambient lighting, not too loud and good vibes. It was also very good value. £40/head for a lot of food, dessert and beers.
Jap chae, korean tartare, seafood pa jeon, chilli squid and the galbi were highlights, but I couldn't fault any of the dishes we ordered.
Really impressed with this place and hope these guys are able to roll out more outlets at some point. Will definitely be back.

I've never quite frequented this area, but I love Korean food and was interested to try it after a friend recommended the place.

We went for lunch on a weekday so it was quite quiet.
We started off with the tasty seafood Korean pancake which I order in most Korean restaurants. I also was really craving some Jap Chae which they thankfully my had - stir fried glass noodles with beef, vegetables and seasoned with soy sauce and sesame oil.

There were also some little salads as some of our dishes were available in the set lunch menu which was slightly cheaper. And of course we ordered some sides of kimchi and bean sprouts.

The beef bibimbap was delicious - another one of those dishes that I love. The spicy bbq chicken was prepared in the kitchen (for the lunch set menu) but I think you can request to have the meats cooked at your own table if you wish to do so. The chicken was really tender and the sauce was delicious.
The kimchi fried rice was topped with an egg and was also very appetising.

Overall it's a nice and relaxing place, with good value for money. The staff are also friendly and I would visit again for some good comforting Korean food.

I have tried a lot of Korean restaurants in London and this one is definitely the best one!
First of all, the dishes are in generous portions so it's well worth the money! The pa jeon is a must try, it's filled with seafood and you can actually see the seafood unlike many other Korean restaurants!
We had Bulgabi beef and spicy chicken on the barbecue, both tender and delicious! One of my friend is vegetarian and she enjoyed her tofu bibimbap as well! She was very pleased that even the vegetarian dishes are well cooked and not bland at all!
All in all a good experience and place is very easy to find!

Had a fantastic midweek meal here. A really atmospheric interior and surprisingly lively for a Wednesday. The food was fantastic, if you like it hot the chilli squid is a must and the chicken dumplings were as good as I've ever tasted. Shared a meat platter with my girlfriend as a main which, with a couple of side dishes was more than enough. £80 for the both of us with a few drinks between us. Excellent, we will be back.

I have noticed an influx of Korean style dishes in the normal restaurant these days. However, the original Korean restaurants seem to be doing not so well. However, I have always liked Korean cuisine and decided to try it out once again. I generally visit places with someone familiar with the cuisine. I had a great time here. The food is delicious and the staff very amicable and helpful. Definitely recommended.

I have sampled a lot of places in this city serving this cuisine, however, this one was by far the best. I must add, all the food came served in good portions and were quite filling. The Bulgabi beef was amazingly delicious. Even the vegetarian dishes were cooked to perfection and had good flavors. In my opinion, this place was well worth every penny.

Gogi opened its door in the Little Venice area back in January of this year. Sitting at the far end of the Edgware Road, next the lovely Regents Canal the restaurant sits in a nice spot, but just a little out of the way. Jae Cho is the owner of this restaurant, who is the man behind the Maida Vale venture, Maguro which in contrast is japanese.

The restaurant is essentially modern Korean BBQ aiming to give an informal and relaxed dining experience with a hands on cooking approach. Though all the cooking is done for you at the table, I would've prefered to go a little crazy on my own, i'm sure health and safety gets in the way of this these days. We started with a small plate of kimchi, which if you're unsure is pickled cabbage with chilli, garlic, red pepper and various other ingredients. Here it tastes incredibly fresh, there was the usual cabbage, cucumber and something I wasn't entirely sure of, the intensities and flavours of each were all subtly different. It may not have been the traditional type we are used to, but it was certainly delicious.

Another ‘snack’ was the Gogi mandu, pan fried chicken dumplings with a lovely soy and spring onion sauce. The dumplings had a nice texture, not too thick or chewy and there was a lot of filling, good flavours but maybe holding back a little, the soy dip was very good indeed and soon livened these up.

The menu is very extensive, and there is a lot of dishes to choose from. To start we also had the Gogi Special Salad, which included deep fried prawns, calamaris and a delicious, slightly sweet special Korean soy sauce. The piece of calamaris and prawn were delicately cooked, and had no chewiness. It was a nice little starter.

Good quality Korean BBQ restaurant. Food are fresh and served with good portions. Atmosphere is good as they play k-pop in the background. Though the restaurant is a bit small, and you are sitting very closely to other people. If you want some privacy or even a chat with your friends, I wouldn’t suggest this restaurant to have a catch up when you are dining in. Me and my friends keep shouting at each other as we can’t hear anything beside other people’s conversations and the background music.

We came for Sunday lunch and it was very crowded. Food was nice, but there was a lot of sugar in our soups. Tasty, but very sweet. Service was ok, but guys just take orders and then bring food, nobody came to ask how was our food, do we want anything else to eat or drink. We had to catch our waiter to ask for a bill.

Amazing Korean BBQ restaurant. High quality meat in decent portion sizes for sharing, and easy to use grills. The fried chicken was great as well, nice and crispy and not oily.

Nice place for Korean BBQ among other dishes. We had the BBQ platter for two and it was just about worth the price - reasonable portion and variety, one of the meats in particular was exceptionally flavourful. Kimchi pancake side was also lovely. Service was friendly and helpful. Worth booking ahead. Mid-range pricing for London. 12.5% service charge, though this might be discretionary.

Lovely selection, they forgot the fried egg on one of our dishes but brought one right away, the bossam was great and the broths tasty, i found the beef cooked just a bit less than necessary to come of the bone but it made up with taste.

Coming from Toronto did not expect Korean food in London to compare but the bibimbap was very tasty! Was not expecting to be charged for all the small side dishes (kimchee etc) as used to getting all of these free in Toronto, but I gather that is pretty standard in London.

Overall a great Korean BBQ, but premium platter for 2 was smaller than we expected, not enough alone, so you forced to take some extras from menu.

Amazing! We ordered the Goji platter with a premium with includes egg and corn cheese. All the meats were good but you have to try the soy chicken and the thin slices of meat. So delicious. The corn cheese was so nhami! We also tried the Korean beer. Was good but I bit expensive. The shrimp dumplings, all I will say it’s try it try it!! Devine! Definitely recommend but come with an empty belly. It’s a feast!

We went there for San Valentines and this place didn't disappoint. First of all, the service was great. The lady waiting us was super kind and nice. We started with the Bulgogi Bao, it comes with two portions. This one was amazing, the buns had the texture of a cloud and the meat was so well marinated and tasty. Then we had some chicken dumplings, these were good, classic dumplings basically. We then ordered the fried chicken with honey garlic and mayo... wow, this one blew my mind. I still dream about this chicken, it was perfectly fried, juicy and the sauce was just out of this world. We finished our dinner with the BBQ Gogi Platter, which comes with 2 soy boneless chicken thighs, 2 beef rib eyes and 2 portions of bulgogi meat. You cook this yourself in the BBQ that's on the table and I'm not the greatest at cooking meat so I messed it up a bit. The bulgogi was yet again, very very good. This also comes with two sauces (can't remember which) and some pieces of vegetables. For all of this and 2 coke zeros, we paid £78. Well worth the money and I'd recommend it 100%!

Good little Korean place. Really delicious crunchy broccoli with good hit of garlic. The Korean chicken was also good with a heap (Giant Heap) of Finely sliced spring onions. Only small critique is the chicken didn't come with a mayo/chilli sauce combo to dip which I have had at most other Korean places. But service was fast and friendly.
