We had our wedding reception here on Saturday and it was perfect. The Courtyard was so pretty, the BBQ buffet was great and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Thank you Mark and team for making our day a huge success.

My husband and l went there for Lunch today using a Groupon voucher, the gentleman who looked after us was cheerful and polite. The food was perfect and courtyard setting lovely. Wonderful way to start my birthday celebrations.

Incredible and beautifully cooked/presented food. Flying visit to London, staying nearby, (looking after son’s dog), so didn’t want to travel far to eat. So glad I booked in at Le Gothique. Staff were warm and accommodating .. and the dog was made very welcome too! Amazing value for money and food was on par with the best I’ve ever had! Will definitely return and highly recommend to others.,

Le Gothique hosted our wedding last Saturday. It was amazing and we couldn’t have asked for more. We chose Le Gothique as we’d tried the amazing food and we knew it would be a beautiful but unique venue too. Friends told us it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding. It was really important to us to have good food that wasn’t just the typical stuff you get at weddings, and they certainly delivered! What was really fantastic though was how communicative, friendly and helpful Andrew was throughout the whole wedding planning process. He remembered everything and was so wise about it all which made us feel a lot calmer. Other venues we spoke to took a couple months to reply to an email, or you’d be speaking to a different person each time who had no idea what was going on. Andrew would get back to us basically immediately which made wedding planning far less stressful. He was so organised and remembered all the little things, like where to put a certain photo or vase, or putting our chocolate favours away for a bit so they wouldn’t melt in the sun. He even came up with some great ideas for the day. It really felt like he wanted us to have the best time - and we did! Something else I found really lovely and special is that they did not try to exploit us for money at all in a wedding industry which often does - their package was so reasonably priced for what it was and any extras we asked for, they gave the best advice to do it in the most efficient way. This meant we had an open bar for all of our guests and everyone was so well fed for such a good price point! I think it’s so important to support smaller, family run businesses and we clearly saw the advantages in this of how personal our wedding day was and how great the support was from the whole team. Their staff were so polite, friendly and hardworking. They worked so hard to feed, tidy up and give drinks to over 100 people. Please please pass my thanks on to absolutely everyone in the Le Gothique team - you all smashed it. Another thing that makes Le Gothique such a uniquely amazing wedding venue is the convenience. Most wedding venues you either have to drive a long way or it’s in central london with no parking. Le Gothique benefits from being near public transport but also having good parking around in it, which made it easier for all our guests. We could also have our ceremony on site so we didn’t need to pay for transport or rush guests around to different venues. It made our wedding feel so much more chill. I would absolutely recommend Le Gothique for any event, and I know we’ll certainly be back for meals and more in the future! :) thank you so much again!

This is such a wonderful venue! Great building Great beer Great service I was there for a beer festival (hugely popular) which was exceedingly well stocked with a wonderful array of beer. The festival food on the night was terrific too. I cannot rate this more highly! Ten out of ten!!

We came here for a wedding and had a lovely time. The food was delicious and the building itself was gorgeous and so historic. The only downside was that we were seated outside and it was freezing - there weren’t enough heaters to go around!

Our night was a quiet one - according to staff, so hard to say what the atmosphere would be like on a normal night, but it was lovely. Really quirky place, beautiful for a party. Great food and service. A bit out of the way for public transport but if you drive/taxi, you're sorted. They do need to stock some non-alcholic gin/beer etc!

Cosy & chilled vibe in an historic building. Welcoming & friendly staff. Bar & table seating on ground floor (also outdoor/courtyard in good weather) and full dining area upstairs. Great for event/special occasion. I opted for classic sausage with mash and bestie chose the steak with fries - off the lunchtime menu. Food was delicious, no nonsense - fresh & flavoursome. Reasonably priced. Will be our new local! Thank you for looking after us - sorry, didn't get your name!

Le Gothique, and the experience it provided to us on our wedding day can be summed up in one word... it was "magical". When we were looking for a venue for our wedding reception we wanted something a bit different from the norm, once we set eyes on the building that houses Le Gothique and its gothic style decor we were instantly sold, no other venue we looked at even came close, and being a stones throw from were we live was an added bonus. We didn't even know the building (the Royal Victoria Patriotic building) that housed Le Gothique even existed until we stumbled on it whilst doing our online searches. Booking Le Gothique for our chosen date also allowed us to choose from either having our wedding reception within the internal restaurant area, or, the outside courtyard double-marque covered area... obviously we chose the courtyard (with one eye on the weather reports as our wedding date approached). Luckily we had a day with good weather when our day arrived. Once we started dealing with Andrew he was always courteous and answered all our questions and queries on the numerous occasions we interacted with him. On the evening that we came for the "tastings" it was difficult to choose between the dishes as they were all tasty, but, we did eventually settle on the duck pate, lamb and raspberry mascarpone as the main three courses. We were more than pleased that alongside our chosen three course meal for our guests that Le Gothique were happy to accommodate the Greek starters (we supplied), it's safe to say everyone ate well on the day and probably ran out of space to even have some of our tasty wedding cake! Andrew and all the staff at Le Gothique made sure our day went without a hitch and ran as smoothly as possible and we can't thank them enough for that and they appeared to work seamlessly well with our flower and wedding cake arrangers. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Le Gothique, especially for anyone else looking for a place that has a special feel to it to have a memorable wedding reception. Andy & Rowena

A hidden gem indeed. Housed in the iconic Royal Victoria Patriotic Building you would never find it! Lovely gastropub, with an unmistakingly French bistro look, the paintings a step back in time. It is almost like being transported to another era. The wall uplighters and candle lights compliment perfectly the thick dark stain wooden tables with a beautiful patina and red velvet/dark brown leather chairs. Very atmospheric and contrasts beautifully with the terrace outside in the courtyard I loved it. Starter of gambas flambee, main confit de canard and fondant au chocolat as dessert. The food is ok, well cooked, the prawns in particular were very tasty, and there's a limited but adequate seleccion of wine, all reasonably priced. The staff are great and the service excellent. Andrew was superb, indeed a gem within the hidden gem. If you are looking for a fine gastronomic experience in a modern Michelin star restaurant, then it's certainly not the place. But if you are looking for a different type of experience, to soak up the feel of an iconic Victorian building and enjoy a romantic meal al fresco then I would certainly recommended. It is different and I personally loved it.

We had an enjoyable dinner at Le Gothique. We were sat outdoors but the courtyard was well heated. For starters we had the kings prawns and goats cheese salad. We definitely preferred the goats cheese salad of the two items. For mains, we had the burger and sea bass which were both very enjoyable. The dessert was a bit of a let down with the lady fingers in the tiramisu not being soaked at all (so they were hard). The lava cake tasted supermarket bought and microwaved. Service was quick and polite. If it wasn’t for the dessert this would have definitely deserved a 5 star rating.
