We really enjoyed our meal and the service here. We wandered into this restaurant after looking at the various options in the vicinity during our visit to London, and we're really happy with our choice. Our server (Layla) was very pleasant and offered some suggestions, all of which were great. All the staff that we interacted with were really great and smiled at every moment, it seemed. I'd highly recommend this place.

Thank you for a lovely evening! We hosted a private dinner for circa 20 people at Ekte on a hot evening in September. The food was absolutely delicious - new Nordic cuisine and flavours beautifully presented. The staff were attentive and very helpful. We had a few last minute changes to the table seating and they were very accommodating.

I really like the food (maybe the plates are a little bit small) yet everything delicious. The staff is super kind. Totally recommended, particularly good for the area.

Never tried Scandinavian food before so can't really compare but the food was very nice. Had the lamb chops as medium rare and it was delicious. My friend has the meatball and said it was really nice too. Went around lunch time so it was busy but they were able to accommodate us despite having no booking.

Found this restaurant completely by accident and so pleased we did. What a wonderful secret! The staff are adorable and enthusiastic about the food and drinks. The food and drinks are very different and thoroughly fabulous, all very Nordic. We had the spectacular fish dish of the day and what a delight it was.

The visit was overall a truly great experience! From the welcome when we stepped in to the great food. Would definitely recommend and I look forward to come back and try more of the menu. If you do the Smørrebrød two is great as a main course as they are quite big. Meatballs was also really good! Swapped the cream fresh with the chocolate cake to vanilla ice cream, great decision. Also adding the cinnamon ice cream to the warm cinnamon bun was another great pairing. Nordic espresso was a great cocktail to go with dessert. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff that added to the overall great experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ekte, and my overall experience was delightful. The service was exceptionally prompt. Although they had run out of the Ekte lager I initially desired, the alternative option, the freebird larger, had a pleasing flavor. The restaurant's ambiance was quite appealing, with well-executed lighting and a touch of modernity in the decor. The staff was attentive, ensuring our water glasses remained filled and contributing to a comfortable dining atmosphere. Now, onto the food, which was truly amazing. The salmon Smørrebrød I ordered was delectable, with no issues whatsoever. While it was slightly dry, a sauce such as dill or cream would have added another delightful flavor element to complement the freshness of the salmon. The curried herring Smørrebrød was a delightful surprise, boasting well-balanced and flavorful components that left a lasting impression. The perfectly cooked egg on top was a delightful addition. As for the beef Smørrebrød, it had a wonderful flavor with a pronounced Dijon mustard taste. Despite its boldness, it remained thoroughly enjoyable. I also had the pleasure of trying the dill Akvavit, which was a tasty and full-bodied accompaniment to the smørrebrød. Overall, Ekte offers a pleasant atmosphere, prompt service, and outstanding food. It was an incredibly enjoyable experience, and I intend to return soon. The only minor concern I had was the price, as the lunch totaled £51, which leans towards the pricier side. Nonetheless, it was still a worthwhile dining experience.

We were served by Anna! So friendly!! We all said how bottomless brunch normally has lackluster food, but here, good quality food, good quality prosecco, all in all we're all very pleased we booked! Thanks to all the staff at Elte :)

Had a wonderful meal here, especially enjoyed the meatballs! We were served by Romi who was very friendly and efficient. It was very quiet as it was a weekday, but would definitely come again.

Me and my partner loved the food, it was delicious. The service was brilliant and staff was lovely and very attentive. It was my birthday and the manager got me one of their chocolate desserts with a candle on it- this seriously made my night. It’s such a thoughtful gesture. I will definitely visit again and recommend Ekte to my friends.

We had such a lovely time here. First, we were greeted warmly and sat early. The servers and hosts were so engaging and yet not intrusive. The menu is so interesting and each item was truly delicious. A couple of standouts were the starters on rye (we had 3 and all wonderful) especially the egg and mustard and shrimp salad. For the main course we had halibut and….WOW. Just WOW. We went back for our final dinner and, again, amazing. The staff is so great. A man named Patrick helped us and he was just lovely. Please go here. You will not regret it.

Pretty good Nordic food here at Ekte, the Curried herring SMØRREBRØD was tasty and fresh but a little on the sweeter side for our liking so couldn't really finish it. The mushrooms and sourdough toast tasted good with a generous helping of various mushrooms, found it tad bit greasy the way it had been cooked and probably could do with a bit more seasoning (which is just a personal preference). The rice pudding with cherry compote was delicious and very comforting to eat. Prices vs what you get is OK, a bit on the pricier side but the quality is good and you'd have a tasty meal no matter what you get, could just do with a few tweaks here and there. Staff and service was great and could not fault, definitely will be back to try other dishes.

What a great find. Haven't been round this area for years. We stopped for a long lunch. Had prawns for starters hot smoked salmon and a warm potato salad. The menu had plenty of fish and seafood options. The drinks selection was also impressive - we had prosecco and a Sicilian white wine. There's an outdoor space but we say inside. Staff were friendly, attentive and professional. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

Great place to try Nordic Cuisine. Try the Smørrebrød which are open sandwiches on rye bread. We ordered mostly vegetarian options which were limited but very tasty. The Swedish Potato Dumplings are delicious. The Fennel Salad is great. The Desserts are wonderful. It's a stylish restaurant, well worth visiting.
