Came here with my fiancée and we had a lovely meal. Its a nice atmosphere and very spacious inside, easily able to accommodate large groups. We shared, mussels and octopus for starters and lobster and Dover sole for mains. It was all really fresh and very tasty. The desserts are also lovely and told all homemade. Prices are very reasonable for a seafood based restaurant. There are also kebabs and steaks on the menu if you want to stray away from seafood. The owner was very friendly and service was great. Very quiet when we were there but I really hope this place does well. A welcome addition to Southgate.

We tried the: 🦑 Calamari with garlic mayo, pistachio and chilli crumbs 🐟 Skate Wing served with beurre blanc shrimps 🍗 Chicken Milanese topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella 🥄 Sticky Toffee Pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream Highly recommend if you’re looking for a new seafood grill to try out 🙌🏼

Great decor and stylish place, had a lovely seafood platter (lobster, calamari, mussels and king prawns) with a delightful sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The service was really good and attentive too.

This place is a hidden gem! Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The grilled octopus was delicious & the seafood sharing platter was amazing. So glad we have found this place. We will definitely be back regularly. Also staff were extremely friendly & attentive

What an amazing little restaurant right on our doorstep! Intimate with very friendly staff. The food was delicious and of a very high standard.. the king prawn starter, the seafood linguine and the aubergine with feta were outstanding and to finish it off the sticky toffee pudding. I am def going back as there are a few more dishes I would like to try on the menu!

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I literally just arrived home after enjoying a delightful meal at The Waves Seafood and Grill. This restaurant exemplifies great quality throughout: appearance, seating, service and most importantly FOOD at a reasonable price). Went to The Waves for a set lunch with a friend. We weren't disappointed. All the dishes were cooked fresh, good portions and very tasty. It's lovely to have a fish restaurant back at Southgate. Lunch was very reasonable too priced at £13 excluding drinks. We would definitely recommend and visit again.

What a lovely little restaurant, we had been looking for somewhere with good quality seafood... we went through a ton of restaurants and the reviews were awful. Stumbled across this place and honestly was the best decision we could have made. The food was outstanding, the staff were friendly and made you feel so welcome. Would deffo recommend and will be a returning customer! Thank you for the lovely evening for my partners birthday!

The Waves is the perfect place to enjoy high-quality food and wine in a cosy environment for a reasonable price. Their wine list is broad with very interesting options. I had dinner there with friends and the chef (one of the owners) made sure that we were enjoying the food whereas. The other owner himself made sure to propose the best wine for our food choice and it was perfect. All the courses were amazing and the dessert was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this place to have a nice and relaxing evening, a date or a business meal.

Just been for a meal with friends at Waves. The fish, served on the bone is fresh and beautifully cooked. The seafood risotto was also excellent. Friendly and efficient service. It is also very good value for money for the quality of food. Excellent.
