Food is ALWAYS on point! Especially the curry mutton. My dads a Trini, so I was brought up on good homemade Caribbean food. So trust me when I say, the food from here never disappoints. Staff are always friendly too, so what's not to like......oh yea, the queue......unfortunately when you have food this good, word gets out!

I love food markets and Old Spitafields is one of my favourites because of the variety this place has to offer, in addition to the quality of course. Haven't tasted a single below average dish here. That being said, Cafe Caribbean is where I've had the most amazing Caribbean food. I've gone back to this place over and over again and it's been consistently good (super easy on the pocket too). Awesome stuff! Really recommend the goat curry and the jerk chicken.

Love this place. It's owned by an ex amateur boxer whose normally always there cooking away!! Great seeing a huge lump of a guy cooking in a tiny shack; though what he produces from that tiny shack is always delicious. It's located in the indoor market and it's always the one with the biggest queue!

So far I've had the lamb curry, chicken curry, bbq chicken served with with rice, roasted veg, fried plantain and a festival!

Guys, this place always has a queue for a reason. If you like Carribean food and you're in the area, try this place! It's a tad expensive but worth a try.

In all honestly I wasn't expecting much from a small hole in the wall located at the back of Spitalfields Market but I was happily proved wrong! The curried mutton was to die for - the perfect balance of spice and flavour. When eaten with the perfectly cooked rice and peas (which is hard to get right) it was simply amazing! Had a side of Mac & Cheese, which also was pretty decent. Would 10/10 recommend.

Food: Me and my friend got the Jamaican jerk chicken and the oxtail with beansand the former eclipsed the latter. The jerk chicken had an excellent amount of spice to it as well as the meat falling off the bone. It was made to perfection. The oxtail with beans were good, but unfortunately just didn't hit the heights that the jerk chicken did - that being said the oxtail was no slouch and the flavour was good albeit a bit salty. The fried chicken and plantains we ordered as well were both solid if unspectacular. Admittedly, we did get there 20 minutes after closing so seeing our food be microwaved as well as there having no sides was disappointing but very understandable from the perspective of the restaurant as we did enter after it officially closed. Service: The service was okay. Not the best but definitely not the worst. Atmosphere: hard to rank that as its part of Spitalfields Market. But the energy around the stall was good.

I got the beef stew that was piping hot. With a side of plantains which was warmed up before being handed to me. The crew are friendly and efficient. It is a small stall but they smoothly flow through the place. The food was really good and give you the energy to walk around the rest of the market and enjoy the day

TLDR; Great Service and Rice & Peas, but Jerk Chicken Falls Short. If you're looking for a place to grab a quick and easy lunch during the workday, this spot has friendly staff and a speedy ordering process that'll get you in and out in no time. The rice and peas were definitely a highlight of the meal, with the perfect texture and flavor. Unfortunately, the jerk chicken left something to be desired. While it was cooked well, it lacked the smoky flavor that comes from being cooked over a drum bbq. Overall, it's a decent spot for a quick bite, but if you're looking for standout jerk chicken, you might want to look elsewhere.

A nice place to try some jerk chicken, but it doesn’t taste like I remember it from Jamaica… portions are a bit on the smaller size, I’d prefer them a bit larger. Tasted OK, norhing special, so do make a stop here if you’re into Caribbean food.

I ordered the mutton curry with rice and peas. Very pleasantly surprised. The mutton was tender and flavourful and the rice and peas were good. If you’re in Spitalfields and fancy a taste of the Caribbean give it a shot. I’ll be back to try some of the other dishes.

Came here for lunch the other day. Had the best rice and peas with gravy sauce. Delicious. The gravy wasn’t too salty and the rice and peas was very well cooked and hearty. They had a good variety of other delicious treats. Service was friendly and professional. Will be back for other things!

We held an event at our office which Cafe Caribbean catered for. The service was fantastic- shout out to Warren- and the food was delicious! Everyone genuinely gave great reviews to pass on to the chef so this is our company review! Would definitely recommend!

Best Caribbean food I’ve ever tasted in my life. The love and effort and pride that goes into their food is unreal. Their food is always so so fresh and delicious and the flavours just wow .. the food is always piping hot when delivered and always such friendly staff and delivery drivers. And they’re so so helpful when not sure what you’re ordering etc. They also remember their regular customers and are so lovely to their new customers too. Always welcoming and food always top level and that’s why I will forever come back. Thanks guys xx

Delicious! Had the jerk chicken and it was divine. Good level of heat and spice. Chicken was very tender, and the rice is also very tasty (they add some sauce to it). Service amazing and friendly.
