This place has the dirtiest dicks ever. I've been all around the world and never seen a dirtier dick than the dicks at Dirty Dicks. Cheers 🤘🏾
What a find .... great atmosphere with great music and staff ...... hopefully returning In two weeks and will become a regular visit xxx
In this place was our frien 40 years ago... and now we are here again to bring him some memories...
Had a lovely night there with friends, bar staff worked hard serving people as was very busy but no long waiting to be served and door men done great job too, was a great atmosphere in a lovely old pub.
A lot of history in this pub and these are the public houses we need to protect and keep. Had a very nice meal with 14 of us upstairs. Really attentive staff, great food and thoroughly enjoyable time had. Thank you.
It is a cosy authentic place in the busy neighboorhood. The food is really tasty and they have a large range of beer choices.
Right opposite Liverpool street station is the famous DD … I remembered seeing really old photos of the pub on a historic feed on Facebook. The pub builds on this expectation.
It was a really great spot, we arrived just as it opened for lunch on a Sunday. Dining was on the 1st floor. The place was a lot busier when we left about 90 mins later.
We were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff and I will say the food was excellent!
The pub is part of the Young’s brewery and I would recommend the standard bitter, it was really good and accompanied the Sunday roast very well.
Would certainly recommend this as a stop especially if a tourist! Lovely experience!
An historically architectural, edge of the City gem. Aged, distressed Wood everywhere, including barrel & butchers block tables. Excellent, ancient character. A place of gathering & conversation. Only challenged by having 3 in 19 taps stocked on this visit (at least one was Brooklyn).
Really nice place, I liked the atmosphere, Maybe a little bit too low light bit it's just my opinion. I ate pork for Sunday Roast and it tasted really nice. Recommended
Really lovely pub. It’s basically a fancy pub . Got to seat upstairs with the tables, really lovely vibe for a nice catch up and of course the fish & chips was amazing.
Hands down the best pub fish and chips I have tried to date!
While the service and overall atmosphere was amazing (as was the aesthetic), the only fault was the extreme noise that went through the bar to the dining room.
However, you can’t blame the guests for enjoying they’re time there as much as we did!
Busy pub with a varied clientele. Drinks were average (they only have 1 type of rosè wine and put a lot of ice in the soft drinks) Food - all had the fish and chips. Nicely presented and a good taste and temperature when it came out. Unfortunately one of my group found plastic wrap in his fish, the manager was apologetic but didn't seem to know how to handle the situation, in the end we didn't pay for the that main dish. One group member wasn't too hungry and ordered the mac & cheese side which was quite large for a side dish, he said it was nice. Despite the issue with the food I would return
Brilliant atmosphere as always. Great historic venue bang in the middle of the City
Thank you to the wonderful staff who got Doug and Helens bachelor / bachelorette pub crawl off to a great start. Great service and historic atmosphere. Unfortunately did not get an opportunity to eat or review a menu so cannot comment on the food.
Attended a private function there last Saturday from 6pm. Diners upstairs drinkers down stairs. We all thankfully got an alive together with just enough room to mingle as well with each other.
Staff were fast , great memory gor folks orders and smiles.
My particular favourite was a 27yr young Polish barman who was exceptional. V kind, good company and just sweet.
Our group are all aged 50plus...most clients younger. Only downside was floor is multi level and there are steps to go in from outside . Good solid banister so hauled in ok....and out of. V Centralocation and not the normal London famous overpriced food.
Worth a visit!
went in today, great atmoshpere, staff were super friendly and quick at serving and clearing tables. Had a small inconvenient but the manager on duty was able to solve it in a matter of seconds. Would come back!
What a superb pub, great drinks selection, and brilliant atmosphere, if you're passing by then definitely pop in,you won't be disappointed
Excellent Sunday Roast and Beautiful Pub.
The pub is great. The restaurant on the first floor is nice and has a traditional look. On the ground floor there is a nice bar that is always busy. The food is great and the sunday roast offers a lot of tasty choices (turkey, beef, pork and veg). The quality is great and we all appreciated it.
Desserts are good and the price is reasonable.
Nice location and great personnel!
Stopped for some fish and chips and were not disappointed at all.
Good beer, great food, and staff is nice.
Clean and nice bathroom and atmosphere in the pub is good.
