The Baptist Grill

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were made to feel welcome. The entrance hall to the bar is very grand. We had drinks at the bar as we were a little early. We were recommended cocktails according to what spirits we usually drink and they didn't disappoint. The food was amazing, we had scared scallops and ribeye with snails. They have an extensive wine list and the attention to detail throughout the meal was amazing. Had we not had a theatre booking, we would have stayed for longer. We will be back to attend one of your dining events. Thank you for a memorable evening.

4.5 stars actually. Faultless food and impeccable service. Food is characterised by a delicate balance of flavours. I had the set menu with matching wines. Just divine. The watermelon and tomato salad with mozzarella was a perfect balance. The cod and charred gem lettuce with beans also splendid. The decor and design details are certainly interesting and not in a bad way. You will find yourself smiling at the minor details. Overall atmosphere of calm, serene and secluded. If I had to really find a fault, the matching wines could be improved on and the main entrance door requires a push /pull label (as there was no door man/woman when I arrived). This is the perfect spot to take anyone whom you wish to impress that likes the finer details.

Simply marvelous! Abbán, maître d' , was amazing! The food was perfect. Portions we filling and delicious. The hotel and restaurant were a total surprised filled with beautiful architecture and history. if you ask for the tour of the big rooms, you will be amazed. I must if you are in the area. Three generations of y family thoroughly enjoyed the history. behind the building and the food.

A very nice place to come for a treat in central. + Excellent food. The steak was fantastic. Never had anything smoked and the flavour was seriously rich and tasty. + Attentive team always making sure we were topped up and happy + Location is totally unexpected for Holborn. Beautiful and well lit - Was a little aircon cold - Expensive but worth it for a treat Overall would definitely come again.
