The Angel

Absolutely top tip quality. What can I say? Well I’ll say it. The barman welcomed us with a delightful smile and open arms (and cold pints!) As soon as we saw the menu, and the roasts, we were locked in for a good session! I had the chicken and leek pie - a solid 9/10 pie! Mash was complimented by all on the table. The burger “it’s all gravy” certainly was gravy baby! The men of the house had the triple whammy sharing roast - naturally. What a delightful afternoon at the angel - and yes we went to food heaven. this pub is quite rare to find. the amazement you get from finding out they have an upstairs, the joy when there is no one there. having food and finding out that no matter what you order, it's gonna be delicious. coming to read a book or just chill with your headphones on, only to abandon all of your plans because the music on their playlist slaps and you would just listen to that. always having fresh flowers on every table. I'm moving away and it's probably the last time I'll sit here and have a pint of camden hells while chatting to my partner, and I am gonna miss this. this pub is clearly loved by the people that work here and I'm glad I found it when I did. thank you for having us guys.
