This was my first ever experience with bubble tea. I had a regular chocolate with caramel pudding. It was decent but I am not veryĀ fond of the tapioca balls, the chewy tidbits in bubble tea. Nonetheless, the quality of the drink was good and it didn't appear to be artificial. Apart from that, Biju offers a wide variety of different teas and toppings like jelly and puddings!

The best bubble tea in London. I love Mango Milk with pearls but they have lots of other delicious drinks like Hong Kong or Matcha Milk with Almond Milk and honey instead of sugar.

Best bubble tea in town!
Biju offers a good range of different teas and toppings. They serve very good quality tea which never tastes overly sweet or artificial.
The Peach Iced Tea with Lychee Jelly is my favourite summer combo, while their warm and delicious Thai Milk Tea is perfect for the winter.

Love the flavour of the matcha! It feels like 'real' matcha instead of drinking a tea with the glimpse of matcha taste. I think I saw them using the matcha powder instead of syrup. It's not too sweet and the pearls are very chewy.

I don’t know whether this is a good thing or a bad thing – I found Biju Bubble Tea inside Westfield, which is rather close to where I live. Good thing is I no longer need to make an effort to head towards Nottinghill for Bubbleology (the closest to me) or all the way to Chinatown for Cuppacha (or Chatime occasionally) or to Shoreditch for Nosteagia. Bad thing – my wallet and waistline will probably be crying.

This place came really well recommended and rightly so. 😊 Love the fact that they do not use a creamer and proper milk for their milk teas. Decent set of flavours and toppings to choose from and everything is made to order and fresh. Loved the Matcha milk tea (known as Kyoto in some places ) and roasted oolong tea and the Coconut water with pineapple. Staff is pleasant and keen to assist. Definitely worth a visit. ā˜•ļø

The Biju Bubble Tea Room, is not on a main street in Soho, but believe me, its worth trying to find this place (citymapper is on your phone for a reason) and not getting waylaid by other bubble tea rooms along the path.

Every cup of tea is freshly brewed (from leaves) to order - in an espresso like machine. You have a choice of black & green teas. You can then add any of their natural syrups to flavour your tea. The South Asian Wintermelon is an interesting novelty. This is shaken in a cocktail shaker with ice & then poured into a glass.

To this you can add either tapioca pearls (chewy), popping bubbles/boba (completely natural), jelly (nata de coco - coconut jelly - completely natural, completely vegetarian - sourced from the Philippines) or basil seeds (they look weird and are an acquired taste, but really good for you especially in the heat of summer)

Another stand out at Biju Bubble Tea is that you can specify how sweet you want your tea.

They also have the option of coconut water instead of tea which is healthier. And they have a couple of mousse tea options too which are mildly salty.

Their range is amazing and since everything is brewed and prepared fresh, the only limit on the combination you choose is your imagination.

The team is young, knowledgeable & energetic. They will very helpfully explain and clarify whatever questions you may have about their teas. No sullen, morose, "don't bother me" looks here, that I have seen in other bubble tea places.

So lets tick them off
- Helpful, well informed service - check
- Fresh, healthy, customisable choices - check
- Completely vegetarian (for those so inclined) - check

So, what are you waiting for?

Went there to get my Taiwanese fix after missing their lovely teas n desserts from my Far East trip. The menu sounded familiar as they have exactly same cult flavours. So ordered - winter melon tea and taro milk tea. Winter melon tea tastes exactly same from my earlier experiences and took me back to great Taiwanese food journey. Taro milk on the other hand fell short of expectations as it lacked the same flavour. It tasted very mild - not sure if it was less taro powder or taro powder taste itself. Since it was Biju's 1st birthday in London, all drinks were highly discounted. So that was great.

It's a great addition to london's drink menus where bubble teas are picking up but are priced preciously high. Hope Biju can bring them to daily affordability levels. Will be great to see some desserts (like sago or taro pudding) added to their menu as well.

So I was visiting family I have in London and we were walking around Soho after a meal in Chinatown when we stumbled across this place. Not like your average dingy bubble tea shop in London, this place was actually super cute!! Being a huge bubble tea fan I had to see what it was all about, and boy was I not disappointed!!!

The first time I went there I had the Hong Kong Milk Tea (apparently it's one of their best sellers) and I can see why! Rich and creamy, without the use of any artificial creamers! The tapioca pearls were also just the RIGHT amount of chewy (I'm really fussy about this)! Staff were also showing me how each cup of tea was individually brewed - and you can really taste the difference! I didn't get the bloated feeling that I sometimes get with other bubble teas which use creamers instead of real milk. They also offered soy milk which my lactose intolerant cousin was very pleased about (TMI hhahah) :D :D

I was addicted right after my first cup and I've been back every other day during my two week stay in London :S Tried many other flavours including their Matcha and Taro teas, as well as their fruity Passion Fruit and Mango teas when I want something really refreshing. The Hong Kong Milk Tea and Matcha are my favouriteeesss (back in SG now and still can't find something that beats theirs), but I never got to trying their coconut water drinks as I'm just not a big fan of coconut water.
If you like your teas rich and creamy you gotta try their HK Milk Tea!!

Yes high quality bubble tea just like back from home in Taiwan. The tea here is really good quality and you can taste it. I also do not like milk powder, so this is best place for me to drink bubble tea. They told me the Hong Kong milk tea is their best seller. I tried my friend's, and it was very good! But too strong for me, I like lighter tea and not so creamy.

I had the Roasted Oolong with Herbal Jelly, and it was perfect, not too sweet and fragrant and light. No need to adjust sweetness

One of the best bubble tea houses I've ever been to! They only use the freshest of ingredients! Everything is made fresh to order, so nothing is ever stewed or sitting for hours in the Thermos. You can also customise your drinks with different types of milk like almond and if you want something healthier, they also have coconut water!Ā

The staff are very friendly and know their flavours and pairings! Full review can be found on my blog.

In Soho, almost every corner has a bubble tea cafĆ©. One of the newest to fling open its doors in this sipper’s heartland is Biju.

True and amazing bubble tea. The use of fresh organic milk is very obvious when you drink the drink. Really love the matcha that is slightly bitter and the taro that actually has taro taste and is not too sweet. The staff are so friendly and the shop is definitely the cleanest bubble tea shop I've been to. People who mention Chatime have obviously never been to Taiwan before!

Came here for bubble tea and was surprised by the good service. I got to try toppings for free that I've never tried before, some home made.

Bought the Pineapple coconut water with many toppings and loved it! A real treat, and I definitely like their natural organic approach to bubble tea. Definitely can taste the difference

What exactly is bubble tea?!?

It was only last week that I daned to find out for myself. Having seen them on many a touristy street corner, often neon and housing what looked like a small dead sea creature in the bottom, I had never quite mustered to excitement to try one.

This was before I was taken to Biju. A new tea room in Soho (London) The place that got off my puritanical tea horse and opened my eyes to the joys of the bubble blends.

Bubble tea is a popular drink, which originated in Taiwan. A black tea with milk, often infused with a fruit syrup or puree. The term ā€œbubbleā€ referring to the chewy tapioca balls often added to the drink.

Unlike the type on offer in most bubble shops, Biju makes all their tea fresh, completely to order. No batches made on mass meaning no over brewed putrefied tea bitterness. They come in a variety of different flavours and colours. From super creamy and fruity, to light and coconut water refreshing. All depending on your preference.

Aside from the freshness of ā€˜made to order’ tea, you also get the added benefit of choice and as such can make your bubble mix as healthy or as wickedly creamy as you choose. As a hardcore tea lover, in the most puritanical sense, I was a little skeptical at first. Well… it was practically love from first slurp.

The Fruity Milky One: Honeydew Melon Milk

An interesting combination of milky tea, flavoured with honeydew melon puree. The flavour of the melon, I was surprise to find, really worked. Although I found it a little over sweet and milky for my taste. Its certainly a little healthier than a milkshake, but perhaps a little less so than a smoothie.

The Fresh and Fruity One : Passionfruit Iced Tea with Basil Seeds

A vibrant fruity iced tea, perfect for an afternoon pep up. The peach nectar is shaken over ice with a jasmine tea, to give the tea a delicately floral taste… not dissimilar to a delicious homemade, fresh version of Lipton’s.Ā

The Healthy One: Lychee Coconut water

A fresh, lighter drink, made with coconut water instead of tea, without the addition of milk, laced with the delicious fruitiness of lychee. It was not too sweet and pleasingly refreshing. Certainly my favourite of the bunch.Ā

The Wild Card : The Iced Black Mousse Tea

This is undoubtedly one for the coffee drinker. A contrast of sweet, rich and slightly salty flavours, give depth and unami, working to cut through the richness of the drink. The mousse refers to the sweet and savoury cappuccino-style froth on the top of the tea, which can be stirred through, or kept on top, if you fancy spotting a froth moustache.Ā

I luckily got to meet Mr Biju (Nick) who happened to be in the shop when I popped by. He was happy to tell me all about the brand and the new exciting specials they have coming up… I won’t give too much away because I urge you to pop down and try them for yourself.

Now excuse me, I must pop off to meet my date for something a little bit stronger at Nobu… the host of this week’s date night dinner.

I’m a crazy bubble tea fan! I cannot compliment this place enough, today- Saturday; half term and it was very busy. Regardless, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were also under pressure as it was full inside the shop, however they were able to clear the queue up very quickly and I feel like I barely had enough time to decide what I wanted! I am ever so pleased I can’t fault this place at all! Highly recommend it.

Only got 4 stars because there was no tapioca pearls. We had the Hong Kong Milk Tea šŸ§‹and it was absolutely delicious! Nice quaint place. I like the seating area. Different but trendy. Will be back and hopefully tapioca pearls this time 😊

It was well overdue having bubble tea in Bond Street! I would say it’s standard. About Ā£4.75 for the large. 30p difference between small and large. They use paper straws which is a plus. However they don’t ask about sugar level nor how much ice is required which is a shame. Overall, I would say it’s standard.

Their most popular drink was Hong Kong milk tea so I gave it a try. Good quality of tea used, as it was very smooth even tough the tea was indeed bitter. I added popping lychee for some sweetness. Great customer service as they gave me a try for the sweetness level to make sure I like it. Would love to be back again

My husband and I love coming here as an end to our central London outing. However last night they forgot to add toppings in the teas though written explicitly on the glass. We couldn't check on store as there is always a long queue and a rush. That doesn't mean we would stop coming. But maybe now would make sure. I love the pista and the mango and the taro tea. Not too sweet. Good quality.

I like Biju for the simplicity of the menu. I’m not inundated by choice and what they do have, they do well. On this visit I had the Chai milk tea with tapioca. The Chai flavour was delicious and its sweetness subtle - this is how I like my MTs! I chose no ice so I could take it home to enjoy. Ā£3.95 for regular and Ā£4.45 for large. Their seating is also quite funky.

I really like Biju, the prices are decent and most flavours actually taste nice. this branch was very well run. Went on a busy day but the queue was quite fast. Wish they had more place to sit inside but it’s kinda small. I recommend Taro and Mango as they’re really tasty flavours. You should also get popping bubbles not jelly. Got our drink within 5 minuets and they gave many popping balls. Thank you

I never tried bubble tea before coming to biju and I think that it is a really innovative idea! they have an infinite number of flavours to try out and the staff are extremely friendly. However, my stay wasn't as enjoyable due to the lack of sitting space. The drinks are of top quality and portions are pretty large! Biju definitely had a cosy ambience which added to the pleasurable stay. Will definitely be returning!!

It's a little pricey but I really wanted a boba place with good wifi that I could just sit down and write my dang postcards. I passed by sooo many other milk tea places but they were all take out only with no seating at all. The music was fast paced (a little bit too loud but I was alone anyways) and the cork seating is really cool, dirty but still unique and nice. The first topping is included btw.

The place is clean and the staffs were polite and efficient. However, I can't choose the level of sweetness and ice so the drink wasn't as good as I had anticipated. Overall a very nice place to hang around with your peers.

This is the first place that I experienced bubble tea and I did not regret it! They have a wide variety of choices and combinations to try, with friendly staff to help you out if you can decide. I love this place and have brought many friends and family members to visit here with me. It's my number one recommendation to anyone visiting the area!

Freshly made bubble tea where you can enjoy in a cosy atmosphere. I don't like the other places as tea is made from powder. They are happy to personalise your drink with less sugar and ice which is great! They also offer soy and almond milk as an alternative. This place is a must if you are in Soho.
