Had a catch up with my friend for a Pre Xmas drink and quick bite to eat at The Phoenix. This is a gastropub close to Bank station. We popped in for a cheeky Sauvignon Blanc. To soak up the alcohol we both opted for the Double Squid Salad.
The Squid was dressed with tasty teriyaki and sesame, I must say every mouthful was delightful. We ordered a side of chips and they were perfectly fried.
Service was quick and friendly too. My only reservation is that it gets super busy at lunch and because we got there just before midday we got our orders really quickly. Had we arrived after midday the wait for food would have been longer.
Overall the Squid salad was tasty and really complimented the Savignon Blanc. I would recommend this gastropub for a quick bite to eat with no frills but excellent service and quality of food.

Nice spacious Pub, with a good amount of screens and TVs to watch sports; in the city therefore very quiet on weekends. Nice Pub, kitchen closed 20.30 when I was there so haven’t had the chance to had any food unfortunately, but the menu and specials looked good!

The staff's attentive and accommodating nature made us feel right at home, contributing to an overall enjoyable experience. And let's not forget the food! The menu at The Phoenix Pub offers a range of delectable options, but the highlight for me was undoubtedly the sausage rolls. These savory treats were a true delight, boasting a perfect balance of flavors and a comforting homemade touch. It's these little touches that make a visit to The Phoenix Pub a memorable culinary experience. Whether you're seeking a laid-back evening with friends or a place to enjoy delicious food and great company, The Phoenix Pub ticks all the boxes. I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Phoenix Pub and indulging in their fish and chips. From the moment the plate arrived, I could tell I was in for a treat. The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, revealing tender, flaky white flesh on the inside. The batter was light and not overly greasy, allowing the natural flavors of the fish to shine through. We will come back again .

Nice pub with cosy low lighting and booth seating. They have lots of screens round the pub that show sport. Sausage rolls behind the bar are great. The music is played quite loud so can be a bit noisy and hard to chat.

This is the work pub, since it is literally across the way from the office. We usually end up in here for team drinks. Can't fault it, great selection of beers on tap. Plus every spirit you could possibly be inclined to try including some high end bottles. The selection of bar food is also good, the sausage rolls come highly recommended, and the chips are perfect. It can be very busy, so the noise is the biggest concern. If you want a quiet pint, then don't come here.

Popped in today 25 September 2023 with my teenage son after visiting the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Great pub, fast service and the fish and chips was to die for. The girl and guy behind the bar noticed my Slough Town shirt and started chatting. Brilliant. Will be back definitely.5 stars!

I had the pleasure of visiting this pub in the heart of London and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a classic pub feel that made me feel right at home. The staff was exceptional, providing excellent service from start to finish. They were friendly, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was nothing short of amazing. Now, let's talk about the food. Wow! The menu offered a great selection of classic pub dishes, and each one was executed to perfection. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this pub to anyone who's looking for a great meal and a fantastic atmosphere. The combination of the great staff and good food make this place a real gem. I give it five stars and can't wait to go back!

Was looking for a place to see me mates football club play tonight in the Champions League group play. Went into another pub around the corner and one of the gals behind the bar said that "The Phoenix" had TV's 🖥 and would probably be my best option. One being so close as it was after kickoff. Took a short walk over and had a chat in the que. Saw they had Cask Ales and tasted a sample. Bloke behind the bar @ The Phoenix poured me a local variety and now just enjoying my pint as Liverpool are 1 ALL vs Rangers.
