I enjoyed this place so much that I went back three times in two days. Loved the cold meze plates (especially the tabbouleh) and the Turkish egg dishes (I had sucuklu yumurta). So much more on the menu that I want to try. Fantastic chilled place run by a wonderful Turkish family. A little gem on Church Street.

It's the best place to have fish food. And also the rest of the food. Thanks Mustafa Chef

Lydia is my go to cafe on Church St. Friendly staff, great coffee and interesting menu with always fresh food. Very reasonably priced too unlike most places nearby!

This place was so good I went three times in two days: dinner, breakfast then lunch. With takeaway cake. Fantastic Turkish food run by a very friendly family. I really enjoyed the cold meze plate (especially the tabbouleh) and I loved the Turkish egg dishes me and my friend tried (I had sucuklu menemen). Finally, it is all very reasonably priced. And by that, I mean that you don't have to worry about what you are paying, just what you want to try!

This isn't the usual overpriced yuppified fake high-end dining that you find on the rest of Church Street: it is the kind of place you go to chill, chat and enjoy great food with a glass of wine. I will be coming back again next time I'm in the area.

I love this cafe, it is somewhere you can go to on a weekend for a quite breakfast, radio playing in the background with such low volume, you can barely hear it. The food here is delicious. You always want more. The staff are amazingly kind and treat you like family. A few days ago i had my younger niece with me and the staff were so nice to her and gave her sweets and a free slice of cake. Definitely will come back for more. Absolutely Amazing!

The new management in this cafe is amazing, a user has said the cakes are from Costco but they have also been making home made cakes, also Costco doesn't make bad quality products, i don't know what the big deal is here. The waiters are friendly and always greet people with a warm welcome unlike what Sam said. Also the food and ingredient quality has improved dramatically after the new management came in control, i would recommend this cafe and thank you for reading.

There is something I love about cafes. Going from the down and out real greasy spoon filled with fat builders tucking into large plates of grease with some food added, or to posh cafes serving the same but to a more refined palette to those of you who are too afraid or disgusted to go into a workers café. I think it is a cultural thing, as I've found a few friends from overseas who love a full fry up, but would not set foot in a small café. Most Saturdays when I was a kid, I had a full fry up. My dad would always cook it, as it reminded him of his youth growing up in the 50's, when café life first came around. But as the years went on I stopped eating them as often and went less and less to cafes. It's a shame, as they are part of our cultural heritage in one form or another. Although I am sure most of the population would disagree, but I've found those people deride some foods in public, but secretly you can find them noshing on their £1 burger under those golden arches. As we are

Amazing food and ginormous portions! Service was a little odd, slow and not very friendly. But food made the experience great!

I was served in this cafe a couple weeks back and had a lovely experience. The family staff are so welcoming and hospitable. I ordered a burger meal and it was delicious, really nicely cooked and for a good price. Definitely recommend this place if you ever stop by in Stokey!

We have been here many times as my kids love the curly fries. In general food is good and reasonable priced. I didn't like my burger bun to be just a normal white bread bap. I did see on another review image where that burger bun seemto be a brioche bun. Only negative point so far was that we were charged £4.50 for beans on toast for my 4yrs old. The bread for the toast was just standard white sliced bread.

Lovely, relaxed atmosphere. I ordered Spinach and Cheese Omelette, which came with potato wedges and a side-salad - all for £5.50! It took around 25 minutes but was well worth it. Toilet & hand-washing facilities were very clean. Were l in Stoke Newington again (unlikely, but one never knows) l would gladly return!

Came across this absolute gem of a restaurant last night and honestly couldn't recommend more highly. The food was fantastic, and all made to order (we had the seafood risotto which was absolutely delicious, and the chicken fajitas, which came up on a sizzling dish with some homemade guacamole). The staff were attentive, funny and provided excellent service, and the decor was a quirky Mediterranean/Turkish vibe. It's a family-run restaurant and they clearly take pride in their business. They brought out some gorgeous houmous, olives and bread while we waited for our food (we went to town a bit on this which was possibly not a great idea considering how generous the portions were for our mains, but it was just such good houmous!) and everything was very reasonably priced. Will be recommending this place to everyone!
