Ordered a custom made rainbow cake for a friends birthday, their customer service is commendable , every small detail that I wanted was accommodated and the cake was delivered on time and definitely exceeded my expectations.

L'orchidee is a small boutique on the lower floor of Westfield Stratford (they have additional locations too).
They sell some nice looking cakes and macarons, but my trip here is only for one reason. MACARON ICE CREAM SANDWICHES !!!!!!
"SAY WHAT!!!" I hear you say...."isnt that what the famous Yolkin Maice sells and no one else?"
Well, that's what I thought. I'm too lazy to wake up early and stand in a queue at 11am 😎, so this finally gave me a chance to check these bad boys out....till i try Yolkin eventually.
These treats were amazing. I didn't really know what to expect but I was pretty happy with what I tried. Passion fruit zinging with citrus (might be too much for some but its how I like it), Pistachio as creamy as you can get and Hazelnut which for me was the standout, like eating an Kinder Bueno mixed with a Milo shake but so much better than both. YUM.
The macarons were pretty decent too. Crisp shell and chewy centre, perfect match for that ice cream filling.
Now i can't wait to try Yolkin's versions. But I'm content knowing I can get something similar so close to home finally ☺
you know when you been good all week, eating clean or at least trying.. maybe going to the gym..and you think i deserve a treat, trust me this's the place to go, i had a cake from here omg it was heaven on earth the well balanced delicate flavours are still playing in my mind even though i had it on sunday, they have a lil shop in canary wharf station, thats where i got it from but looks like they are at Westfield sheppers bush too, saturday is my cheat day ill be there :)

Oh my. These are absolutely scrumptious macarons! With elegant flavour combinations ranging from violet and cassis to orchid and buttercream to orange and green tea, I may have fallen in love with L'Orchidee.
L'Orchidee offers an exquisite selection of traditional French macarons, among the best I have ever had. The violet and cassis hits you with an initial burst of violet. As the flavour moves along your palet, the sweet and satisfying cassis erupts, first slowly and then with more and more power. Allow yourself to enjoy this one over a few bites.
The orchid macaron was both airy and creamy, the structure of the biscuit collapsing into the rich buttercream centre. I was hesitant about an orchid-flavoured dessert (I love the flowers, but as a flavour??) Well, it was superb! Take a little risk here, and order the macarons that seem a little strange. It will pay off!
All I can say is thank goodness I don't live in Stratford, or I'd be indulging waaayy too often!
Nice elegant place, tucked within Westfield's hustle and bustle. This is a great macaroon, I must recommend the red velvet macaroons, but they're all good.

Of the many patisseries I’ve been to, L’Orchidee has most definitely been one of my favourite macaron experiences. The flavours offered (think #bubblegum & #watermelon) differ to the norm and though I was apprehensive, they won me over. These macarons are a hit as they actually are tasty, uniquely flavoured and aren’t crazy sweet. Only after 6 of these at a go did I finally feel sugared up! P.s. their #cupcakes are just as amazing too!

Just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. The personalised cake you made for my birthday was EXCELLENT! It exceeded my every expectation - the luxury designs, flavour, taste, decoration, EVERYTHING! I loved it as did everyone who had a piece. It had the ultimate WOW Factor!!!

Really nice one to one service with a smile, the cakes are great, I must have been here about ten times already an just keep going back. If you want a really good coffee an a slice of well made cake...this is the place to be.
