The Anchor - London - Photo album

The Anchor is a delightful estate pub, bit quiet on my visit. However, most welcoming, fun, great service and a wonderful feeling about the place. A most enjoyable visit. I am happy.
Came in for a quick one…Clean toilets.. Lovely tables outside, pool table and the most charming manager I’ve ever met. Geoffrey was most welcoming, funny and entertaining chap. Drinks were very cold and served quickly. I can’t wait to be back and get the proper local south London experience. I h
Wasn’t sure about the pub but… we came in and had the best night. Geoff was the most accommodating bar manager and had the most authenti south London night fo experience!! The anchor with Geoff is a must!!
Good pub but better service and pool table that's not got a que of people waiting. Best of all pints are good value
Lovely pub lots of character and friendly bar staff.
We used the Anchor as our watering hole in the evening while taking part in Challenge 72. Absolutely loved it there, the staff are great and really friendly as were the locals. We were made to feel extremely welcome by all. It's proper old school boozer, one that we'll defiantly be returning to. On
Great atmosphere. Great bunch of people at this pub. A proper London boozer. They have some super entertainment here too.
Lovely friendly traditional pub, thanks for the service.
Popped in for a pint. Barmaids and landlady really friendly. Nice and clean pub. Decent Guinness and appreciated a cup of tea. Always good to see flowers outside. Had a good chat and laugh with a few fellas at the bar. Will pop in again next time I'm cycling in the area.
We went there to celebrate my birthday. They reserved our tables and they even contacted me in advance to check number of people coming. The service was great, the food delicious and there was a great atmosphere. They had a DJ and people were dancing. it was a good night! :-)
I popped into the anchor today briefly and it was lovely. I really liked the vintage pieces of decor especially the phone and clocking in machine. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by the lovely bar lady and the locals.
Great local pub. Very warm and friendly with tasty food that is excellently cooked and served. Good sports screens if you fancy an informed night for any sport. Great pub.
Love this place. Rough and ready. For London prices are good and always a smile from the bar staff
Nearest pub to our hotel so popped in for lunch before concert. Good quality, well presented, freshly cooked food at reasonable prices. Friendly pub. Would highly recommend for food if in area.
