I would describe Café Miami as a startup café with tons of potential but a few teething issues still. Went there for brunch (kudos for an all day breakfast!) and while the menu had the standard offering of eggs, avocado toast and pancakes, the dishes I had were pretty unique. The avocado toast was super tasty, came on rye, with haloumi and a delicious chilli jam. The highlight though were the cinnamon roll pancakes - fluffy with all the flavor of cinnamon and cream cheese icing.
I would say maybe on the pricey end for the size of the mains (the toast was pretty small), but definitely full value for the generous pancakes!
It was still a bit understaffed - just the owner and one waitress that were struggling a bit but think that the brains behind that operation has tons of potential and hope Café Miami succeeds!
Attentive staff and delicious food. Picture is Jackpot Peanut Butter, Homemade Jam & Banana on toast (£5). Jam not too sweet, toast is seeded, very tasty meal.
4/5 due to price, I would visit again.
The bread was amazing!
The breakfast was delicious
The service was also great.
I selection in the menu was enough but not too much which gives the satisfaction that everything is cooked freshly.
I love the decor - simple but bright
Cafe Miami offers a varied brunch in Clapton with a combination of the flavours of Miami – traditional and modern American with Mexican & Spanish influences. The interiors are minimalist with light blue and pink decor scattered around the cafe with exposed light beams around the tables.
There are variety of smoothies, juices and milkshakes on offer and the hot drinks are served with heart shaped sugar cubes!
We visited for the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes with cream cheese frosting (£10) and bacon (+£2). We were certainly not disappointed! They were melt in your mouth delicious and the cream cheese frosting was to die for. The sweet and savoury worked with the bacon although we would have liked it to be crispier. The nutella filled pancakes and oat and banana pancakes also on the menu looked pretty epic too.
We also tucked into the Huevos Rancheros: two fried eggs, tortilla, re-fried beans, spicy tomato sauce, coriander (£9.5) + chorizo (£2). This brunch dish was flavoursome with a mixture of textures with the crispy tortillas on top. The chorizo added an extra kick and it was a very filling and delicious brunch dish.
Cafe Miami offers a great brunch in Clapton and those cinnamon roll pancakes are worth travelling for! We would have preferred the service to be a little more upbeat but it is still a great place to chill with friends at the weekends.
Really lovely cafe with interesting drinks and food choices. I had fish finger tacos and they were amazingly tasty. I also got to try a lime soda. Service was quick which was perfect for my lunch break. The decor is lovely, light and attractive. Realty recommended.
First time visiting this wonderful little cafe, and I feel compelled to let other people know just how good it is. The staff are *genuinely* friendly and helpful (a stark contrast with many other cafes in east London, where staff are often more concerned with looking nonchalant than either helping you or making you feel comfortable).
The sandwich I ate was delicious, imaginative, vegan (at the unprompted suggestion of the cashier), and excellent value. On top of that, my coffee was suitably flavourful and 'proper'.
On the mid-afternoon weekday I visited it was empty, which is a shame as the interior has the potential to create a nice atmosphere.
Seeing that this place is a social enterprise only underlines that it is worth supporting, especially given the proliferation of ostensibly 'cool' -- but morally vacuous -- places to hang out in hackney.
I started coming here after the cafe Dreyfus over the road closed in early 2017 and haven't looked back. Excellent breakfast options with a hint of South American flair, made with bread from the local bakery, and good strong tasty coffee from Dark Arts (also local). Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, a bit of a local treasure.
Excellent food, reasonably priced, and lots of choice (grilled grapefruit anyone? Might bring my parents here!). Lots of no dairy options available, as you'd expect in this part of town. Really good service. Accommodated our small child really well. All in all, lovely!
Really delicious and original food and drinks menu. Great service, and a cool cafe to sit in too! Also- I recommend buying the sweet chilli jam. I always make sure I've got some on my cupboard at home now, and it made great Christmas presents this year!
Lovely decor, friendly staff and a good range of breakfast and brunch items.
What a great new place! As soon as you enter you immediately feel at home. Quite the quintessential cafe with good portions of tasty food. If you have a sweet tooth, take the fresh brownies, they are fabulous!
I'm writing this review while I'm eating because this place is SO GOOD. If you come here and don't eat the cinnamon pancakes you will be depriving yourself of one of life's greatest pleasures, and will be a fool until you die. Also the staff are friendly and genuine people, so be NICE.
Hello breakfast/brunch/sandwich/dessert heaven. Food-wise, Cafe Miami is probably my new favourite spot. And what they've done with the space is pretty phenomenal, too - from the tastefully executed art-deco concept to the down to earth vibes and excellent playlists, this place is outstanding all-around.
Stumbled across this little gem whilst visiting Sutton House. Light and bright, cheerful vegetarian cafe. Good quality food both savoury and sweet. Enjoyed the avocado and halloumi on toast topped with home made chilli jam. Finished off with cake but wished I'd had room for pancake stack with berries.... next time perhaps
Had a filling and tasty waffle burger (sweet corn, avo, chorizo, hot sauce) with spinach on the side. Would've liked a dressing but overall very good and for a reasonable price (Vs central London brunch) Coffee was ok. Loved the playlist and decor, very clean and attractive!
Four of us came here for Saturday brunch. Loved the Miami South Beach-style decor, friendly staff and delicious food. Would recommend as a great alternative to the crush of Broadway Market.
