Quiet pub in the corner of the lovely Cleaver Square. Beers are usually Kentish and well served (a rarity for London). Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, one of my favourite London pubs. Will be back to try the food.

Really great pub. Good beer selection, and food is top notch. Got English brewed IPA and pale ale with a delicious steak dish. And steak pie the second night!

Lovely pub hidden off the main road in Cleaver Square. I had one of the best Sunday lunches I've ever had. The chicken was superb. The OH had a veggie roast, which was also fantastic. The pints are better value here than others nearby as well. The atmosphere was really great (it was Easter Sunday), and the service was spot on. Quick, efficient, and friendly. There are tables outside the front, and if the sun is shining, this is a great spot to have a few outdoor pints (you can also take your drinks to the square nearby). A true hidden little gem.

Hidden, literally tucked away, in this lovely residential square of Kennington, this super, friendly pub is a proper English hideaway. Great beers and a reasonable choice of wines match a simple but excellent menu. Proper "English pub" food that's executed perfectly. Prices are fair and what you should expect. The service is welcoming and friendly too. The atmosphere is wonderful. Why not 5 stars? Simply because the food, while excellent, is limited (safe). It should be 5, but I'm being tough. Superb pub, definitely worth a visit.

Wow! Definitely a great pub! Very cozy, with a nice outdoor area and a square where you can grab your drink and enjoy the fresh air. Food is phenomenal! We definitely enjoyed everything, from drinking to eating. The staff? SUPER! Super friendly, super professional! So...what are you waiting for?

As we were coming from California, we wanted to experience the British Sunday Roast. Fortunately the Prince of Wales Has an extended time on theirs. Most pubs seem to close it down about four. Since we were attending evensong at Saint Pauls that would not have worked. The pub is sent in a beautiful little neighborhood. And if you are into finding places off the beaten track, with only locals, this is the spot! My wife had the 28 day dry aged roasted beef, and I had the roasted lamb. It came with veggies and Yorkshire pudding as well as the appropriate sauces. Everything was exactly on point! They have quite a few beers on tap as well as siders, and a full bar. The sticky toffee pudding is not to be missed! Additionally, all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We tend to be friendly people who strike up conversations and we did so with the people seated next to us. They were surprised that we had found the spot. But conversations were not simply started by us… The patrons welcomed us as one of the locals Making for a wonderful evening experience.

A fantastic pub tucked away in the back streets, but what a pub. Great beers, if you looking for a place to eat, book your table. Food seen, smelt and looked divine. Traditional pub, surrounded with a lovely green and tables outside. Worth a visit.

A great find and recommended to us. Lovely you can take your drink over to the shaded square and watch (or play) the games of boules. A friendly, cosy pub and the staff are welcoming. It's a simple traditional menu of food, yet there's something for everyone and it's cooked suberbly - very scrumptious. We returned more than once.

A special picturesque pub tucked away in Kennington. A delicious pub with good beer both on cask and keg. A fine menu with wonderful aromas to tickle the taste buds. A fine place to visit but get here early, others have heard!

Lovely pub tucked into a corner of the beautiful Cleaver Square in Kennington. On warmer evenings you can take your drinks outside and enjoy Boules out on the gravel in the centre of the square. Inside the pub it's very cosy and the food is not bad at all.
