The Georgian is a little hidden jam in Clapham south , beautiful place to have a dinner , breakfast or lunch! I went with my friends in this cozy place for a Christmas dinner, and we had a xachapuri, its a cheesbread in georgian style, it was delicious, we had aubergine in walnuts and spinach for a starter, and main course was really tasty ! There is so much variety of choice and specials , you are really spoiled ,food is full of flavours!Service is friendly and welcoming and georgian harmonious songs makes you very relaxed.. atmosphere is beautiful, tranquil, you can see Georgian piece of history from the walls and decorations! Had a great time and i definitely will be back !

I was very pleasantly surprised to discovered this gem in the heart of Clapham South! Stopped by with a friend for a coffee but then decided to try out some food. We had some chicken prepared in a very interesting way that both - my friend and I, really loved! I then had a slice of the home made cake, which Nino the owner suggested to try... and that was delicious too. I am planning to take some friends there and to explore the menu thoroughly :)

The atmosphere of this place is unique - very stylish, classy and friendly at the same time. I live in Angel, north London, but would gladly travel miles to have my lovely Georgian lunch there with friends. You should definitely try the khinkali - one of my favourite dishes ever!

Great place for any time of day.
My personal recommendation would be:
Georgian pancakes (works as breakfast or desert)
Pelmeni with Adjika (special spicy sauce that's makes all the difference)

Great breakfasts. I've been for breakfast here three times so am a bit limited to that but can heartily recommend them! Great little restaurant, lovely food, traditional Georgian and more common stuff. My favourite - and I know this sounds wierd but try it - it a sort of mix between mince and gravy and spag bol with eggs in. They also do brilliant cakes!

Past TasteCard gambles have ended in disaster, but The Georgian popped up on a Saturday night to tick all the boxes and put Clapham South on the (my) map.

Small, quaint, with an instant fairy light/wooden table&walls homely charm. Friendliest staff imaginable behind a counter laden with homemade treats.

Georgian cuisine looks intriguing from the outset: a description paragraph that name drops several very different cultural influences before manifesting itself in a hearty looking 2 course menu, where 'Georgian Herbs' seem to be the driving factor behind interesting meat or aubergine based dishes.

Quality little chicken salad + stuffed aubergine starters. Both sprinkled with pomegranate seeds (what a treat), and accompanied with traditional baked cheese bread (even bigger treat).

Main - top notch, hearty cabbage-wrapped beef&pork in a delicious soupy stew. Some sort of sour cream dip was bangin. Loads of bonus veg soaking in the famous herbs.

Superb homemade carrot cake rounded off a cracking meal.

+ it's Bring Your Own. (Out to the adjacent couple who brought a big bottle of Disaronno)

Would definitely recommend, is a nailed on pleasant evening that is sure to add 'Georgian food' to your list of Interesting International Cuisines.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The food is amazing and the dining area is super clean and tidy. I had Tsiteli Pkhali for my appitizer, which was a lovely spicy beetroot dish full of flavor. Then I had Chakhokhabili, which is a lovely traditional chicken and rice dish from Georgia. I was the only person in this restaurant. I couldn't fault the food, everything was amazing and I highly recommend this restaurant. They do only accept Credit Card payments, no Caah.

Decent Georgian food for those who have never tried it but still behind some of the Georgian restaurants in London in my opinion. I thought their Khachapuri wasn’t great although they made up for it with some great Kinkalis (Georgian Dumplings). They were out of Georgian salad which surprised us as it’s literally tomatoes, cucumber, walnuts. The aubergine starters stuffed with walnut paste was excellent. Finally, I thought it was super expensive for what it was. We shared 3 starters and 1 main and paid 60£ total with service charge. Service was average, food took ages, not everything came, drinks arrived late. But seemingly if you want Georgian south of the river, this might be the only place.

My Georgian girlfriend took me to this place. The staff and the place are lovely. The food was good, just a bit too salty, even for my girlfriend.

Quite an interesting experience. The appearance of the restaurant is nice with flowers and candles. We were the only people in the restaurant so not much of a vibe. The waiter was good but it took so long for the food to come, around 35 minutes even though we were the only customers. They also forget one thing we ordered and some of the dumplings were frozen in the middle! The wine was different to our taste but it’s authentic Georgian wine. Most of the dishes were delicious but prepared to be relaxed and take your time.

I've been here for lunch twice and dinner once and the food has always been delicious! The mezze starters are lovely, the Khachapuri (cheese bread) is delicious and the mains are really different and tasty - a mix of different flavours and spicing. A great place to try Georgian food - I'd reccomend to anyone.

Had a lovely breakfast here this morning. Much more interesting than my usual breakfast haunts. The place has a lovely atmosphere, it’s very friendly. Around £25 for two people plus cake to take away. Excuse the terrible photo, but my wife found the fact that they had her Mums plates more important. It’s the Glekhuri on the left and the Georgian house breakfast on the right.

Amazing! Almost original authentic Georgian cuisine. If ingredients were from Georgia, esp cheese, - I'd give them 6 stars. It's possible to bring wine with you as well! Unique place!!!

Great experience, delicious food, and friendly service. Something a little bit different and I'm super happy to have this locally in Clapham. The traditional cheese bread with an egg is 1000% worth the 20 minute quoted wait, order it. The spinach "pate" was delicious with it too.

Absolutely loved this place. Food was so fragrant and delicious, and the service was impeccable. Dined in the company of two chefs and a sommelier and they were just as impressed with the food as the rest of us - I'd never tried Georgian cuisine before, but it's now a favourite! One of the most enjoyable meals we've had out in a while, highly recommended.
