Nice chaps who serve, The only issue is they need to cook more food for 5 pm onwards as always a wait and the same for lunchtime. Chicken is delicious chips ok when well done fish good sausage is regular chip shop sausage. Nice curry, sause! Excellent spring rolls.
Good portions and cheap prices! Good value for money and friendly service! My favourite is the classic cod & chips but there are also burgers and pies. Also some tables outside for the good season.
Oh wow! The fish and chips was delicious! We were a big group. The owner made each plate with love and careš. Plenty of options even burgers. Definitely worth the wait! Reasonable prices too. Many beverage options.

The fish bar was recommended by a local at the museum. Our food was freshly made and the batter had the right consistency. The cod fillet was very delicious. The staff was very pleasant and we greatly enjoyed our fish and chip experience.

During school holidays we always try a new traditional fish and chip shop. The Castle Fish Bar was sensibly priced, lovely fresh fish beautifully cooked, nice chips and all served with a smile. Would definitely go again.

I love this place, i have been coming here for the best food since the seventies, fresh food great people and great value, will never stop coming, its the legendary Castle Fish bar, its quality is known through the decades.
