Having worked in a gourmet deli in Australia and having a particular taste for the fare on offer, it was lovely to stumble, by complete accident, across Monte’s Delicatessen down a quiet little street in Angel. Sliced meat thicknesses have been perfect and harken to a steady and well practiced hand.
By far London’s best italian Deli. Great personable service- they make Islington feel like a a proper Little Nieghborhood- love this place. Amazing array of high quality goods.

Many lovely and delicious options, very nice and friendly staff. Every thing here is good, cheese, olives, antipasti, sweet and snacks.
Love the selection and the quality here, you always know you are coming home with something amazing!! I particularly recommend the pasta sauces and the burrata

The aubergine is sublime, it was meant for a dinner and it was gone by lunch. Peppers etc. lovely too; it's not cheap or expensive, just worth it. The general quality of the goods in the store ia great, and some of the boxed goods/snacks from other suppliers are lovely now and a fixture of our cupbo
Love this deli! Friendly, helpful owners, it's always a pleasure to chat with them. The vegetarian lasagne is equalled by none! High quality food in store. A wee gem of a place.
Excellent choice of Italian products, especially pasta, flour, sauces. Cheese selection is not that great, but they have the best fresh ricotta from Sardinia in London.
Beautiful little local Italian specialty deli. Great charcuterie, olives, hand made pasta, and some hard to find items. The store is packed to the rafters (there are really no rafters there). Oh ... Nice helpful staff

Great place on a map of London. Perfect selection of Italian cheeses, meats, olives, pastas, canned tomatoes... Everything you need to have an amazing Italian experience. Prices are good too - just go there and see!
If you ask me what my favourite shop in london is, this place is my answer without hesitation. Just so lovely with a great advice based on what you are looking for when in comes to Italian delicatessen ;)

A true hidden gem of islington. Have been coming here for 10+ years, Hamid and his wife who run it are a delight, and the food is exceptional.
Love this deli, the staff are really friendly and helpful, I bought the most amazing balsamic vinegar which was recommended and some great gluten free pastas
