A very hip lewisham pub selling craft beers with great artwork and industrial decor, really loved the metal light shades and the chrome cigarette machines. Bringing your own vinyl on Fridays to play gives the place a living room feel, tho they were playing great left field 70s funky tunes �

The Tavern has gone through a fantastic transformation and is now the place to go, there is a completely new kitchen that can be seen from the back yard. With a good chef now they serve up the most tasty meals and snacks, good choice of beers as well.
Great pub - excellent food, good range of drinks at decent prices and lovely staff. So happy to have this as our local!
What a great transformation! Popped in for a quick pint and supped the recommended Jamaica Porter. Nice friendly staff and a warm inviting interior. Will be back in soon to sample the menu. A great offering to those in and around Ladywell! See you soon guys!
Second time in 2 weeks. What a great place. Food is phenomenal. Chef came out to explain dairy free options. All their meat is from Heckstall and Smith butchers. The staff are incredible and babies are very welcome.
Friendly staff, good decor, good selection of varied music on the stereo. Had soup and ripeye steak. Both were very good.

Love this pub. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and great food (the free jugs of mint water on the bar is a nice touch too!). Definitely the best pub in the area.

The Best Steak and Chips in Ladywell. This is by far the best steak in Ladywell... Lewisham and... one of the best in South London!!! This place is a hidden gem in South London! The friendly Landlord of the Tavern told us that the steak is sourced from the best butchers in Smithfield market, cooked medium rare to perfection and served with a generous portion of handmade seasoned chips with a tasty side of magic mustard/garlic/mayo! I was amazed by the quality of the food produced by this tiny kitchen, so didn't mind waiting a little longer! But the staff are friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed a great atmosphere and selection of drinks!
The food is great value and, my friends really enjoyed the pizzas, burgers, sausages and salads too! I will definitely return to the Ladywell Tavern soon! Also don't miss the perfectly formed Tank gallery hidden at the back of the pub and the Mexican Coffee!! Well done to this Tavern for getting it right! xx
Love this local! Always a friendly welcome and a totally chilled vibe. House wine on offer and the wings are great (as is the steak n chips). I'd also recommend open mic night with some amazing artists.

This is my local pub. I have a lot of love for it because they have a brilliant selection of beers on tap - try the Mangolicious IPA and the Dennis Hopper! Outdoor seating both out front and round the back is perfect for the summertime. Staff very friendly and attentive. Sometimes a bit let down by the quality of food and the fluorescent white lighting indoors is a little bizarre. Aside from that, it’s a Ladywell institution and certainly my favourite place to get a drink in this area. Would definitely recommend!
Food looks amazing. But I just had some decent cider. Very friendly barmaid chatted about their ciders - great to hear about cider instead of beer. A friendly smile goes a long way with me, thanks for making me feel welcome.
I was there on 2023-08-05 for a wedding reception / lunch, the staff was nice and the food was tasty. We had a wide variety of mains, salads, snacks, all were prepared pretty well. Unusually I don’t have food photos as I was too busy chatting and drinking…

We arrived in the late afternoon and unfortunately, all the vegetarian dishes had been sold out. Nonetheless, we decided to try the pork dish, egg royale, brownie, and carrot cake. To our pleasant surprise, the pork belly was impeccably crispy, and the accompanying vegetables were skillfully seasoned. The flavors were truly exquisite!
The brownie had a luxuriously smooth and soft texture that was simply delightful. As for the carrot cake, it unquestionably stood out as the highlight of the dessert selection. Moist and expertly baked, it was served with a lusciously creamy topping that complemented it perfectly. We were particularly pleased that it was not adorned with a cold icing sugar coating.
Our afternoon spent in your garden was filled with cheer and enjoyment. However, one minor issue we encountered was the prevalence of people smoking at every table. It would be greatly appreciated if a designated smoking area could be arranged, ensuring the comfort and well-being of all guests, especially considering the presence of numerous children accompanying their parents. Prioritizing the health of everyone would be a wonderful addition to the overall experience.
Wow there is a new menu at Ladywell! It’s like a breath of fresh air a variety that will please everyone. We were really spoilt for choice and great price points! Tried my favourite pub classic fish and chips and I wasn’t disappointed. My husband again had his go to burger and you can’t complain a burger, chips and a pint for about £20 in a London pub! Excellent value.
I can’t wait to try the Jerk Chicken and of course we will be there on Sunday for the Roast.
It’s lovely to have table service, it just takes the whole eating out experience up a notch. Staff are great especially Charlotte and Lucy. This pub is on the up. Added bonus it’s dog friendly.
Lively local pub in Ladywell that gets the balance between being a local serving pints and good food just right - none of that "have you got a reservation?" nonsense here. There's always a good selection of beers and the burgers and fries are great. The quiz night is brilliant and some great musicians drop in for open mic nights.
Brilliant pub with very friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere and the perfect place to celebrate a 30th Birthday. We all had roasts and guests enjoyed the chicken and the beef. I had the vegan roast and it was excellent!
Gib did a fantastic job from the get go. She introduced us the authentic rum punch. A visit to the Tavern just for a taste of the punch is worth it. Very nice garden too. Well done everyone

Very friendly staff and a great selection of drinks. We ordered the cheeseburger and it was slightly too pink for me. Pressing down with the fork and blood was oozing out. It needed another 2-3 minutes of cooking. Chips were excellent. I've been coming to the Tav for years in its various incarnations. Gotta love the Tav!
This is a fantastic pub, chance found me here but loved everything about it. Sunday roast was excellent, beer selection top notch, service super friendly and decor made me want to stay.
Testing out lock down pubs. The Tavern had everything under control. Order food and drink on your mobile phone online. No quing at the bar.I prefer the new norm. Food was good. Enjoyed the new calm!!!

Dining for a Sunday roast, recommending the pork, not just delicious it was an experience, food spoke for itself, staff very welcoming and attentive. Not going to describe any further, please all go and be prepared to be blown away. Pork Sunday roast 10/10 not exaggerating. Enjoyyy
