I went to the prince of peckham last night and I really have to give these guys so much praise. The staff are all incredibly nice and constantly engaging with everyone. The food is amazing. I highly recommend getting the wings! They're wonderful. Its amazing that they have managed to build an establishment with so much character. I will be coming to the prince of peckham for many years to come.
Great work guys.
The food was absolutely amazing. We had the Patties, salt fish fritters, chicken wings, rice & peas with jerk chicken. OMG that's all I can say. Will be definitely going back.
Love the ambiance, love the crowd, love the staff, love the cocktails, love the jerk food; a great feel about this place.
Great location, great service, amazing ambience and the food is yummy! Bonnie, the Manager does an amazing job! Love this place!
Came here yesterday, had a great time food amazing and the staff were brilliant such a lovely place
Best jerk chicken with rice I’ve had! Love the place too
Great vibe, amazing food! If you leave without trying the wings then you have made a BIG mistake!! Definitely a place to call your local
Fantastic ambiance, fantastic staff, had one hell of a great night! Thanks guys!!!
Recently hosted a bridal shower there. The staff were amazing! so friendly and helpful and the food.... FANTASTIC!!! I cannot recommend the Prince of Peckham highly enough
Ordered beer and jerk chicken, it was amazing. Loved the place and the ambience. I was lucky enough to get the place, would recommend to anyone who js new to call and reserve the table before going to this place especially during lunch or peak time and festive seasons. Highly recommend to anyone who love local brewed beer and good authentic jerk chicken.
White man can’t Jerk is inside Prince of Peckham Pub for those of you that don’t know . However I didn’t expect the food was going to be succulent and juicy.
I ordered a large Jerk Chicken which came with fries and coleslaw, must say it was a reasonable position and very filling, mind you I was hangry 😂😂.
Myself and partner went late so the evening, relaxed and not too busy. The staff and service were good had nothing to complain about.
I would definitely recommend and will be revisiting prince of Peckham on a busy night.
Third time buying and this time a takeaway. Food packaged well. Nice staff. Never been outside and chilled but people are always laughing or talking, with good vibes of music in the background. Good vibes when you walk inside. If you're looking for a local spot to hang out in the day, a good place to go with good food and vibes. Not sure about the nightlife, never been but heard it turns into a bar/club on Fridays and Saturdays. This time I ordered rice and peas and jerk chicken with sauce, and coleslaw and the chef put in a little gift and the surprise was sticky honey wings, which I have become a fan of. Thank you again.
Used the music room (the room upstairs) as a meet place for a charity I volunteer with. The pub was very helpful and accommodating. Food and drink was good and came quickly. They did sharing platters for us and it was great. We were inside, but there is a lovely outdoor area too.
Chicken and chips!!Oh my!!! The chicken and chips is jerk chicken with this sauce and fries seasoned with a garnish. The jerk chicken was soooo good I was dancing while eating. It’s seasoned with perfect spices and it’s so moist it melts in your mouth. Absolutely the best jerk chicken I have ever had!! My sister had the honey and chilli chicken wings with chips. Her wings were delicious too. This is a great spot for dinner and drinks. The drink menu is long and there are Happy Hour specials at certain times on certain days. They have bathrooms with plenty of stalls especially for all the ladies. We made a reservation and I highly recommend it because it’s first come sit where you want and if you want good seating a reservation is the way to go especially if you have a party size over 3. They play good music all throughout and it’s a friendly laidback environment. You have to check them out. They also have outdoor seating too and it’s comfortable seating. Swing by and get a good drink with some good jerk chicken and enjoy the music. Highly recommend!!!!
The pub that has been on my radar ever since watching Saving Britain's Pubs with Tom Kerridge many many moons ago so when What’s in the glass suggested going to the Prince of Peckham for a few scoops I jumped at the chance.
When you set your eyes on the pub you naturally get drawn to the beautiful mural by @mrcenzone which will leave you bamboozled by the level of detail in artwork. Luckily enough it's on the side of a pub so you can wet your whistle while you’re gather your thoughts.
Once you walk through the doors you’re stepping into a welcoming vibrant atmosphere with people sinking pints, chowing down on white mane can’t jerk or doing a combination of both.
The Prince of Peckham is a great example of what a modern pub can provide for the community!!
We rented the 1st floor music room to host a 70th birthday party at the Prince of Peckham Pub.
The Prince of Peckham is a local community pub run by a local black entrepreneur.
It specialises in hosting local community events and providing career's in hospitality to young members of the local community.
The ground floor pub is very busy and they also have an outdoor seating area
There is also a Kareoke room on the first floor which is very popular.
The staff were very friendly and helpful the service was good.
They also have a kitchen which provides a range of finger food and other dishes.
On Saturdays they also have a DJ.
A good location to meet friends for a drink some food and a dance.
If you came to Google reviews to see whether you should go here...
Go!!
Great place, wicked vibes.
White men can't jerk 🥹
Unbelievable food!
First thing first, make sure you book your table in advance if you want to sit down in this place. It seems that you can only sit for a fixed period of time as we were turfed out of our seats because our table was booked for someone else at a particular time, “so annoying” this place is not far fro Peckham Rye and is quite spacious they have a private area upstairs then the main area on the ground floor and a basement space with a tiny bar. My honest assessment of this place on a Friday night is chaos, ordering from the main bar is a nightmare. Four of us decided to meet up at this place and order some food and drinks. We all ordered the Jerk Chicken and fries which came with coleslaw well at least that’s what I think it was.
The food was bland and tasteless with not even a hint of spice, if you know anything about Jerk chicken it’s meant to be spicy. Buy the time the food arrived it was luke warm so immediately bad brownie points. Don’t forget this was after we were all moved from our precious table. No one enjoyed the food I checked to make sure I wasn’t just being a “Jerk” excuse the pun. The portion was fair but as mentioned tasteless. The other and most annoying thing is the drinks. I ordered rum and coke and the barman went to serve me from their drinks fountain. I know that it was not real coke so I asked him for a can of coke. He said they had none but I had already seen the cans in the upstairs bar so he went and brought down two cans. He then poured out half a can in my glass and used the other half in my colleagues drink. Later on that evening one of my colleagues bought drinks again and this time they used the disgusting tasting cola in the drink which ruined the drinks completely.
The positives was that the atmosphere was fun and friendly the place felt safe because the security was on point. The security staff were polite and friendly. Some of the staff were really nice and helpful especially a young lady with dreads so was so apologetic when we had to move and helpful throughout the evening. The music was great apart from when the dj changed for a short while but overall music was fantastic. This really is a great place and with a great atmosphere as mentioned but the little things can ruin a night such as cheap cola instead of Coca Cola as a first option. I would need omens this place for the 25-30ish year olds it’s a nice place to hand out. They also have outside seating I forgot to mention which in the summer is going to be rammed. So food 6 out of 10, atmosphere 10 out of 10, drinks expensive and suspect. No score. Staff 10-10.
Ordered a Lucky Saint beer and Jerk Chicken Meal. OhhhhhhLordy! Incredible food! Amazing chilled out vibes. Service was quick and professional. Will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks
We came for Sunday lunch and the kitchen is run by White Men Can’t Jerk. Our food was excellent; full of flavour and nicely presented too. Due to a fault, many of the beers/ales on tap were unavailable on our visit. Staff were friendly and helpful though.
My favourite pub in London!
The music gets turned up from around 9:30pm. Party hip-hop, R&B, afrobeats, funky house. TUUUNES!!!
Food is amazing. I had the jerk chicken. Yum!
Bar service took a while but the food and ambiance of the place is brilliant.
Lovely staff. Lovely food. Cocktails great. Could have done with quicker service and not having to go downstairs to the bar when we had a bar in our meeting room. Other than that… amazing
We had a wonderful time catching up with family over Sunday dinner and a few drinks. Very reasonably priced, absolutely delicious food, and a great atmosphere. The host was very warm and friendly - her energy was top tier.
The only drawback was the slow and, at times, haphazard service as a result of being understaffed.
That said, it is a very nice pub and I look forward to returning many more times in the future.
