Great little India restaurant. The food feels and tastes authentic, the decor inside is quite intimate and romantic. Perfect for a romantic meal or with a small group of friends. The staff was friendly and efficient. The menu is very limited, this is the type of restaurant where you just go for their specialty of the week. The menu changed weekly. I would definitely recommend and go back myself!

Food was the best Indian I’ve had in the neighbourhood. It wasn’t too greasy and the ingredients were fresh. I agree with other commenters that it was a little bland - our whole party thought it needed more flavour and spices. (Not pepper, but spice)
But in general - and this counts for so much - the dishes were made correctly, while a lot of the local ‘Indian’ spots in east London make the dishes super oily, with incorrect ingredients and spice profiles and added sugar. I’m used to thali so I didn’t think the portions were small; thali is always a bunch of small dishes. It was a little pricey, I’d expect more like £10 at that size, and the raita portion should definitely be bigger. The coconut kulfi was amazing. I’d definitely recommend it to others (while hoping the restaurant makes a few small changes!)

Was very tasty really liked the Chora Fali bits, we ordered the half portion of the main dishes along with rice and tasty popadoms, for two of us. Filled us up well! Drinks were nice too and the atmosphere has balance :) We'll be returning!

Delicious vegetarian Indian cousine. The menu changes every now and then and you get to choose from a few options. You can share even the mains but beware that portions are on the small side. Really enjoyed the paneer main dish and the bread was amazing. Very good coctail options

Definitely swing by!
Great menu, good for who loves sharing.
The food is very tasty and well presented. Worth try and share all the dishes.
10 stars for the negroni!
Great atmosphere, great jazz music, great staff!

Simple and cosy atmosphere. It was a relief that the menu was small, just a couple of dishes, and they worked really well shared between 2 people. The food was full of flavour and fresh, service was great. Very much enjoyed the evening here

small selection of very fresh and very good food
The food is very fresh, tasty, and not the usual uniform curry taste. The combination of textures and individual tastes is exquisite in each dish, like the crunchy first starter (Papdi Chaat) with its pomegranate seeds. The small menu (online on their website) has three starters and three mains, and five side dishes. We ordered one of each for three people except for the first side dish (Chori ni Dhal). Outstanding yoghurt (Raita), only 1 GBP (I found the two green flatbreads for 5 GBP a bit steep). The friendly waiter recommended to order only one full main dish (the last, Palak Kanda ne Paneer) and half portions for the other mains, which was enough for us. Eat slowly and enjoy! With two glasses of wine, two bottles of sparkling water we paid 29 GBP per person including service, not cheap but worth the price. If you want a cheap Indian curry with a large menu and standard powdered hot spices, this is NOT the place for you. But we keep coming back. Book early as it's very popular.

One of my favourite restaurants in London... and I was born here and know many restaurants! Divine food with hear and soul. Healthy and nutrient dense and fairly priced. And great service in a fabulous location. Can no fault.

Simple, delicious vegetarian Indian cuisine done superbly. Looked after from the moment you walk through the door until the moment you're chatting to the chef and getting a goodbye handshake outside.
We went in with an open mind as to what we would order and ended up having pretty much a bit of everything from the menu and then seconds of one or two of the mains! The paneer tikka was gorgeous.
Would highly recommend GR to anyone, be sure to leave some space for some kulfi afterwards

Food was really nice. Great authentic Indian food. Nice and spicy. Love that. Only downfall that actually ruined our evening a bit was the service. It was very slow. Restaurant was busy, but since we arrived it took then 1 hour to take our orders and 30min to get our food. Less to be said we were very very hungry. Other than that great place. I will be returning as the food was really good and at the end of the day that is the most important thing.
