Up with the very best Melton Mowbray pork Pies. Lucky we can get them in London. Delicious!! Some of the reviewers here are clueless. Don't buy something that you don't understand and then give it a bad review. These are exactly as a British pork pie should be. Quality pork set in aspic and hand raised hot water pastry. Fantastic!

Pork pies are supposed to be eaten cold. Jelly isn't fat but collagen. Lady is super nice. Pies are great. Not sure what people are complaining about.

Honestly some baffling 1-star reviews left on here, the pies are supposed to be eaten cold you heathens. In Melton Mowbray it is also tradition to have them for breakfast on Christmas morning. The pies themselves come from one of the best butchers in Melton, on King St (as far as I know), and are much better than the ones found in ‘Ye Olde’ tourist trap.

Awesome pork pies, only medium or large, pity they don't make the smaller sizes

Had a scotch egg and pork pie, both were very tasty and wish they were available back in the states!

Fabulous as always! Best pork pies in London by far. Tried a quiche Loraine from Mrs King the first time and it was delicious, would recommend. Pastry to perfection! Can’t wait for my next visit.

First pork pie for this American. It was much more dense than anticipated, but very tasty! Made for a great meal while walking all around London. We also got a scotch egg, which was equally good.
The woman behind the counter was quite helpful! We asked her whether we needed to eat these warmed, to which she informed us, "Oh you mustn't."

A rather dour granny who sells the tastiest pies. I have to concur with Sylvia Phan that it's all about the pies. Have them with piccalilli and a glass of stout for an extra special treat. For the uninitiated, these pies go back to the Middle Ages and were eaten at room temperature, and like Cornish Pasties, were taken along on picnics and as travel food. I kept mine on the windowsill of my hotel room for a few days before getting to it, and it was fabulous!

I have to leave 5-star to counter the negative reviews on here. The lady isn’t rude, she was very lovely and smiled back at us. Kindly informed us that she took cards only, not cash. The pies and pasties were delicious and eaten at room temp (or “cold”, depending on when you visit) just as they ought to be according to the traditional cuisine. When leftovers were reheated with an oven at low temp, they tasted great as well!
Be open-minded and give this place a try!
