Great place to hang out Soho after all the other coffee places have closed. Good coffee, cured meats and a very cosy atmosphere. The only problem can be finishing a place to sit.

If you're looking for nice ambient coffee house in london, F & W never fails to deliver. I like to head down here for meetings or a mid afternoon catch up with a friend. The coffee prices are too steep (£2.45 for a cappucino) and there is always seats available everytime i've been.

The nearest experience to a genuine Spanish tapas bar you can get in London. Excellent wines, excellent coffee and a good selection of ham and cheese. I especially like the large ham platters.

I popped into Fernandez & Wells to pick up a croissant on my way to work. I'd been meaning to visit for a while as the place looks so welcoming from outside - it's always glowing in the evenings. The selection of baked goods on the surface is very tempting, but I went with a plain croissant which was a tad pricey at over two pounds. However, it was very good and worth the price for a brief treat, served in a cute paper bag.

I love that this blink-and-you'll-miss-it coffee place in Soho does an excellent line in ham and cheese. I went for tea (£2.50) and a generous slice (should be, at nearly £4) of Pear & Lavender Cake but regretted it after seeing the plates of cheese, chorizo and wine come out. The inside is lovely but too small to spend an entire evening in, unless you want to overhear students discussing Trotsky. I didn't mind.
