Spice Merchants Indian Restaurant

When we visited we were the only sit in diners. Initial thoughts were that can't be a good sign. However, the kitchen was busy so there must have been food being delivered. The service we received was very good. The food was fantastic. We were told only fresh chillies were used in the food and you could certainly tell. The chilli kick was fantastic. We had a couple of sides which were both really good. We couldn't finish our meals (lamb bhuna and chicken jalfrazi) and took half away with us. This was packed in a tub and placed in a bag for us to take away. A complimentary drink was a nice touch at the end of the meal. It was a shame it was an empty restaurant but I guess it must get busy at other times. We were there on a Tuesday night. As a note I had the curry we took away at home and it was just as good. Really great flavours with loads of chilli heat. Unfortunately we live 65 miles away or I'd be a regular customer.

Had some of the nicest Indian food I've had in a while here. Ate in and the service was very exceptionally good and our waiter was very friendly with perfect service. Will certainly be coming back here. If you eat in they do a very good customisable to what you fancy meal for £20 very tasty and good value For money. Delicious chutney also the chicken spring rolls were great.
