Fresh Ground Coffee House Eltham

Lovely cafe/community hub/space which does a bit of everything. Ordered a cappuccino, latte and babychino which were all quite good (a bit cold if I had to be critical) and a tea cake. The menu seemed well priced and the plates that others were eating looked good. Perhaps the biggest draw card was film that was playing for the kids and the play space which had plenty of toys for young ones. All of this makes it a perfect place for having a coffee and some peace and quiet (well as much as you can)

If I could give more than 5 stars I would ⭐️ We have been coming to Freshground Coffee House for over 4 years now, the staff are all lovely and you really feel a warm welcome every time you visit. John and Janna are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, they are always giving 110% to the business, coming up with new ideas, menus, activities. I cannot fault the food and refreshments, the kids love the picnic boxes and they are great value! The kids area is great with games, books and toys for all ages, we love the activities arranged during the holidays: Cinema, Lego Clubs, Slime/Messy Play, Arts and Crafts, Making Chocolate Treats 😋 We look forward to visiting again soon 🤩

Stumbled across this place when I was craving coffee and a late breakfast, and I was so happy I did! Staff were super-welcoming, and I had a coffee and a breakfast panini in front of me within a couple of minutes of arriving. The panini was excellent: perfectly crispy bacon with eggs and spring onions on a lovely piece of seeded bread. They clearly take coffee seriously, which is a big plus for me. I had my standard black americano, but I noticed they offered more niche options like cortado. Kids are well catered-for, and the whole place was spotless, including the bathrooms. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you check this place out.

We pop in for lunch after my daughter’s Spanish class on Thursday mornings, and it’s such a lovely atmosphere to decompress in before heading home with a toddler and newborn. The staff are lovely (they even give my two year old extra chocolate on her babyccino), and the prices for food and coffee are reasonable for a maternity leave budget. There is a small play area with lots of books my daughter loves to play in as well. A hidden gem.

We love coming here every Friday! The food is so good and such a reasonable price, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s perfect if you have young children and want to pop in somewhere they are made to feel relaxed and wanted but also if you are just wanting to meet friends for a quick coffee in a relaxed environment. I can highly recommend giving this place a try!
