It was a great experience, although I expected it to be more like a petting zoo, based on what I saw advertised. It's in fact more of a walk in farm experience than petting zoo. I did get to pet some animals but there's no guarantee you can. There is no organised area with staff that directs you to specific animals you can pet or bring them to you. It's literally just a farm. If you get the attention of some sheep or goats and they're in the mood to let you touch, you can pet them for a bit over/through the fence. There are no free roaming animals (unless you count 2 cute cats walking around). They're all in their respective fenced off areas. You're not allowed to touch the pigs, as there's a warning they can bite. There's no sign anywhere of which animals you CAN pet, so I assumed if there's no sign banning it, it must mean you are allowed to pet. The problem is just with catching the animals in a good mood to be petted. The goats weren't very patient with pets. They just wanted food. You can buy goat feed from the shop on the farm for £1. As long as you feed the goat with one hand, you can get some pets in with the other hand. As soon as you run out of food though, they move away from your hand. The sheep were more docile and enjoyed some pets. Got to pet a couple of nice cows as well. The donkeys, poneys or chickens didn't come around for pets. It was still a very fun experience since I love being around animals.

Amazing little farm in the shadow of Canary Wharf. Lovely animals for the kids and great coffee. Highly recommend popping in on a walk along the river. Make sure you buy some food from the shop and feed the goats 🐐 😊

Amazing little gem of a farm, I highly recommend for families. Friendly goats and sheep love getting pet, nice orchard, cafe, and there’s a blacksmith making art! Truly lovely experience visiting. Take the doubletree ferry from canary wharf and it’s 5 minutes (if even) from the dock.

My young son absolutely loves this little farm! Better yet- It is free to visit! When you arrive, on the right there is a small maze garden full of various fresh herbs and flowers-it smells amazing. There is also a lovely Cafe selling hot drinks and cakes (a couple vegan options available) with outdoor benches and it overlooks the Thames which is a lovely setting on a sunny day- still particularly lovely on a cloudy one too! There are accessible toilets and a baby changing area. The animals seem well looked after and the farm even take on young volunteers to help look after the animals! Will definitely be visiting again.

It was a very warm atmosphere which reminded me of life in the village. Lovely baby sheep, goats, and more.

The stark contrast between a small scale rustic farm and the massive high rises in Canary Wharf makes it a unique experience.

A lovely small operational farm at the heart of the city. Saw a lot of kids enjoying themselves with the animals. Educational and entertaining at the same time. Buggy/wheelchair-friendly. Also check out the farm shop for products not commonly found elsewhere, for example gooseberry jam.

Surrey Docks Farm is such a good place to take a break from the busy city. It is run by local volunteers and passionate people. Everything is cute about this place. You can also buy fresh products from the farm: honey, vegetables, eggs…etc make sure to order on the website first.

A very well looked after farm. Volunteers take pride in their job and it shows. Best Place for the whole family day out. Kids love animals and they get to learn a lot while petting them.

A small city farm for kids to enjoy and get close to the animals. The vegetable garden is a great addition to walk around and for kids to get to know the different produce. There is a small cafe next to it which you can enjoy a homemade cake a drink. There's a wildlife pond which kids can enjoy too.
