After I have read the previous review, I’m wondering if I should order from here or not, but I’ve just give it a try and let’s see if it’s this awful or not!
Tried a soup, noodles and veggies, everything is good, I won’t say it is excellent but it’s good enough, maybe they have changed their chef? And also the service here is good, everyone is very friendly and helpful. 4 stars are given this time.
Crab Meat with Sweet Corn Soup
The size is normal and delicious, a lots of crab meat, but I suggest they can put more sweet corn in it as there’s not too many sweet corn.
Tofu(Bean Curd) with Black Bean Sauce
Instead of Tofu I’ll say it’s more like assorted vegetables, it’s got lots of carrots, green peppers, onions. HAHA, but is still nice.
Pork(Char Siu) Ho Fun
The Ho fun is just like what I expected, it’s dry but not wet(which means is fries Ho fun with no sauce), Nice.
Overall it’s worth to try, and next time I might try the curry and rice things and let see if it’s just like the other said it’s totally disgusting and gross. Btw they should give some chili oils to those customers who ordered fried noodles.
It’s a hidden gem for sure!
I love the food there every time and service is amazing. If your local and need a quick nice takeaway try it out.
The lotus House is now called Linh's Pho .Vietnamese Street food . The food is absolutely delicious, it was my first time eating Vietnamese food and I cannot wait to visit again. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere was great
Update. The prices have increased to be on a par with the very good quality restaurant a few doors down. The other place is frequently full of Chinese people eating, which tells me it must be good.
There has been a change of owner, the food has improved and is I think more authentic.
I have used this place on and off for many years, it was never very good in the past. However under the new management it has become our local Chinese takeaway of choice.
Time will tell, I will update the review in the future.
Have been here quite a few times now, and all the dishes I have tried have been banging! Value for money is superb! So if you like Chinese cuisine definitely give this place a go! ;)
This place looks dated. The food however is excellent as is the service. Great value box meals available makes it affordable too. Don't be put off by the exterior.... Not a book to be judged by it's cover.
The only thing I have ordered from here is sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice here and I love it. It's one of my go tos in Colindale . :)
I Love it. Food I used to order is not available anymore but the lady recommend me some foods from their new menu and I tried I absolutely love it . Really love with new menu and foods . I will order more .
It's hard to believe, but famous organist Cherry Wainer "Queen of the Hammond B-3 organ" dined in your restaurant in around 1960. Cliff Richard too, the person to her left in the photo. This photo and caption showing it to be true, is in the 50th Anniversary biography of Cliff Richard by Steve Turner. Page 151.
Fast delivery. The Pad Se Yew and the Beef Ho Fun are great! Really tasty! Can't wait to order again.
