Mam Vic's Plantain Parlour - London - Photo album

My goodness! Mama Vic been cooking that good good joloff and chicken and fish for years and u can feel the love in the food!
Delicious and abundant, saved to favourites and will be coming back! Quiet spot in the middle of Dalston. The cook is the loveliest lady.
Omg I have missed this food....even better than I remember. Goat curry is off the hook. Will need to get in another few fixes before I leave London again for the winter. Mmmm
Mama Vic’s never disappoints. The wings fall off the bone and are to die for! I live the curry goat and jerk chicken, always with the veg rice ( which I could prob eat on its own ). Great food and Mama Vic is just an all round lovely person!
It’s been ages since I had home cooking and hospitality like this. Portions were massive, curry goat was delicious, and mama vic was such a joy. Took two more dishes home because it was so satisfying. Will be back very soon.
Oh boy, no idea how I've never had African food or plantain. By some luck I decided on plantain without knowing that it was Mama's specialty. No regrets there, had it along with the Mama special sauce which was a super combination of sweet and sour. So yummy and addictive you just have to try! Highl
Amazing in a word! Absolutely divine every time The goat curry with jollof rice is amazing Get the plantains with the special sauce! Its 11/10
Beautiful soul food cooked by the wonderful Mama Vic! She is not only attentive and kind but truly cares about feeding us! Portions are filling and the joloff rice stew and plantain is my fave ! Decent prices and just a perfect cute place to stop eat and watch the world go by! Love this place
Grabbed some curried goat and plantain with rice to eat-in. Sumptuous portions and brim-full of flavour. Amazing; all served with lots of laughter! 6 out of 5 stars from me!
Fantastic service. Great food. Love the African vegan menu amongst the other great tasting dishes. My mate also loved the Jerk and Jollof dish, one to try. Such a unique taste of Nigeria in the Heart of Dalston.
It a small 2 table restaurant. Look for "Mama Vics Plantain Parlour". We go here often for dinner. The food is simple, homely and delicious. I would recommend the Jollof rice, goat or fish stew and plantains. Take away available as well. Its run by a very friendly lady. By far my favourite Nigerian
Only live round the corner and didn’t realise this little gem! Yummy curry goat and oxtail and amazing option to have jollof rice as well! Plantain was also delish! Thanks Mama Vic!
Amazing food and quality! The meat just falls apart, her plantain is amazing. She could do with some extra hands to speed up the service but it is well worth the wait.
Lovely I had the Goat Stew Jolloff rice and Plantian so tasty aswell as excellent customer service I'll be back 👌🏼
