New Shanghai might look a bit shabby from outside but don't let that fool you. I've always been impressed with the food here and it's always fresh and quickly prepared. They can rustle up a meal in 10 minutes flat, it takes me that long to get the pans out of the cupboard and turn the hob on. There aren't many Chinese takeaways in Tooting but you only need this one. It's better value than its nearby competitor as well (who shall remain nameless). Check out the shredded Chilli Beef, I get it extra spicy.
We order from New Shangai a lot.The best king prawn chow mien I've had in London. My husband loves the kung pho chicken. I tried the hot and sour soup the other night and it was also really good.
Great salt and chilli prawns ... not really good Singapore rice noodle but good food.. go further down across the road for good Singapore rice noodle.
This is the only Chinese takeaway I use as the staff are always friendly and the BBQ sauce is the best and the duck in garlic sauce is beautiful 👍
