This is a Chinese new fusion type of restaurant. Been here a couple of times few years back and totally loved it. However, this time round, we find the food generally to be less exciting and does not match their high price range. The Peking duck with caviar is still the highlight but find the portion of meat has reduced. Would recommend to come at least once to try it out for the stars. P.S. if you’re into sci fi utopia novels, do check out the book on last picture which is available on Amazon. Highly recommended read while waiting for your food to come. 😁

You go to hakkasan for the experience and you won't be disappointed. Service was quick and the set menu was quite tasty which it had to be for spending over £370 for the premium set menu and 4 cocktails. Were the drinks worth the 20 quid? Probably not, but overall well worth it. If you're looking for a slightly less expensive option, try Roka.

The ā€˜Bloom’ tasting menu was great! Incredible food, and the duck salad was a surprise favourite! The Honey Salmon was also amazing and the restaurant staff were very kind and super professional. Also, be sure to try the ā€˜Fire & Grace’ and ā€˜The Hakka’ cocktails, definitely some of my all-time favourites now.

Hakkasan Hanway Place is the original Hakkasan. Michelin star Chinese cuisine never disappoints, I have been five times and every visit has been perfect. The food it incredible and they also serve some trendy cocktails, I recommend you try ā€œThe Hakā€. Always book in advance šŸ‘Œ

We visited Hakkasan Hanway Place for our anniversary dinner. Food was excellent. We had the Shou tasting menu. The duck and pomelo salad was delicious and a great way to reuse roast duck. There was quite a lot of it though so perhaps slightly smaller portions of this would have been better. Dim sum was great. Mains very tasty and impressive. I could not find fault with the cooking (I very rarely get to say this). Service was generally good. Our main waitress seemed to have good knowledge of the wine menu. At one point a lot of tables were seated at the same time and service became a bit slower - I think the reason for this is that most tables get the duck salad and the staff have been instructed to serve it manually, but it can take a long time to do that well. This step could be left to diners to do this since everything is already prepared when the dish comes out of the kitchen. (Ah, but maybe people would complain about having to serve their own salad at a Michelin starred restaurant…) The decor in the restaurant is very dark with spotlights over the tables and a sort of club-like vibe but without the loud music. It might not be to everyone’s taste, or if you want a more cosy, romantic atmosphere. We left after dessert instead of staying for coffee/tea as one of the tables that was seated nearby had a young adult who was watching TikTok videos on their tablet. Normally the behaviour of other guests isn’t our concern, but because it’s so dark in the dining area, this particular diner was highly distracting visually and we didn’t feel it was appropriate for them to behave that way in the restaurant. (Why would you go to a Michelin starred restaurant to have the equivalent of a TV dinner?) We felt the staff could have addressed this.
