Popped into this coffee shop for a flat white. The barista was super friendly and chatted with us on the coffee beans, which are locally roasted. They are also an audio repair shop which is very cool. Overall great experience and we will be back!
This is an audio repair shop that has a artisan coffee shop attached to it. The coffee is locally roasted and is excellent. The lady in the audio repair shop was very knowledgeable and helpful I will be taking my dads old hi-fi there at some point in the future.
I do not think that I will ever come across a coffee shop that repairs radio and hifi equipment again in a hurry. A very interesting place and good coffee and pastries. Nice service with relaxed vibe.
Armstrong Audio has been in this once predominantly industrial part of Walthamstow for over 50 years.
They’ve adapted in these times of extortionate rent and rates by utilising the space at the front to sell coffee. Good coffee.
Nice cosy place, playing old ska reggae tunes, and serving one of the best roasts in London, AllPress.
The barista, Zahira, is friendly and is passionate about making a great cup of coffee.
Walthamstow has always been a big disappointment when it comes to getting your daily brew. Costa have saturated the area with their shops where you can wince your way through a cup of crude-oil mocha-chocca with whipped cream to get your caffeine fix.
Not any more. You can drink real coffee in E17. Coffee that warms the soul.
Enjoy.
A great coffee shop. Their hot chocolate with coconut milk is my go-to before hopping on the train. They also repair audio equipment, which makes it unique. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. Thank you!
Very helpful and friendly. Took my Pioneer SA606 in for repair and it sounds fantastic again, they also fixed the Watt meter lights so it looks really good too.
Lovely place!!!
Amazing place, great atmosphere, always good vibes and great music. A true attention to detail. Staff are fantastic! Always good chit chat, remembering the locals, smiling and genuine.
The coffee - bloody amazing! I recently tried their new blend from Ethiopia. Uuuuhuuuuu! Made my day!
I love this place - as soon as you enter, they greet you and they are very friendly. Their espresso is one of the best I have ever had.
+ good coffee; great selection of coffee; friendly staff; great music
- limited seating
Favorite local coffee shop. The coffee is great and the staff are always friendly; there’s a nice selection of coffee and treats on offer. It gets busy on mornings so best to allow 5 minutes if popping in during rush hour.
If a place can be calm but bustling at the same time then Armstrong Audio achieves this. Great coffees with a variety of milks. Nice tunes with a play list crafted by customers. This place has big plans and will continue to get better.
This repair shop is marvelous. My 15 year old amp gave up and after phoning around town I had almost given up when Yamaha recommended Armstrong Audio. They managed to fix it for reasonable money. How wonderful that shops like this one still exist. Highly recommended!!!!
What an amazing experience! Took my turntable in thinking something bad was wrong… but within 10 minutes identified the problem… an ionised cartridge… bravo!!! And thank you for the back story… 40 years of hard work, love and tinkering with all things audio… first class… and the coffee is ACE! Definitely recommend 🙌🏻
I just love this place, the coffee is delicious, the cinnamon swirls are cracking. Its got charm and character with super friendly staff. The new outdoor seating area is an added bonus for the summer :) also it has a good selection of quirky, mainly locally sourced items to buy while you await your coffee. I can't wait to get back to London soon.
Cute little coffee shop adjoined to an audio repair shop. Also sells a range of sweet pastries and toasted sandwiches at lunch. With a pleasant ‘on pavement’ small outside seating area, this is more of a ‘grab and go’ shop. Friendly staff - Kevin is my absolute favourite person who works here and deserves to be on a local billboard advertising all things ‘Walthamstow community’. He makes Audio Armstrong feel like a local ‘Cheers’ - he may not remember your name but he will remember who you are, your last conversation and your preferred coffee order.
Great service on repair of my amplifier and coffee is good too.
Great Coffee, Great Story, Great Place.
Beyond the coffee (and pastries) the owners showed me around the back where they repair old amplifiers (repair don't replace!). There's a whole documentary to be shot about this family - they are amazing!
Absolutely brilliant audio repair shop. I needed the amplifier for my subwoofer repaired. A replacement amp would have cost me £900, these guys fixed it for £145 including parts. The manufacturer had actually adviced to replace certain parts for the fix. Armstrong Audio did their own testing and disagreed. I was sceptical trusting AA over the manufacturer but I did and it turns out AA were indeed correct.
Really happy with all aspects of their service, knowledge and communications.
I won't go anywhere else in the future.
It's been three months now since Armstrong Audio repaired my Kef sub-woofer and it still sounds great.
Thank you so much for your help with this. With a very knowledgeable and friendly work team it's the best place to take your audio equipment for servicing and/or repair.
I picked up my "Michell Focus One S" from there yesterday, repaired and up to working order.
This turntable had some major issues, needed a new cartridge (which they helped me source from another shop and were happy to fit for me as part of the service!) & mended the loose wiring that was creating the humming noise.
The repair took a bit longer than estimated but they run a very busy shop., and there are only so many of these services around. The engineers and staff are very helpful and happy to advise.
If you enjoy coffee definitely have knock yourself at the adjacent cafe, it's really good!
