Fantastic coffee. Fantastic beans and English breakfast. Fantastic establishment. Weather you’re visiting the London eye or looking for your new favorite coffee shop, The Black Penny is a must go to. My favorite

A nice spot for breakfast with a great atmosphere also. Just a short walk from Westminster and the London Eye. I would recommend the Hunter breakfast. The coffee was great too! ☕️

Great food, coffee not their strong point. Especially the ones done at the back bar. Haven’t tried the ones from the front bar. most of the staff really friendly including the manager. There a couple of dodgy members of staff that look like they have infiltrated themselves that day and have no clue how to serve 😂

Lovely staff, delicious food, convenient location. I ordered the polenta hash with mushrooms and a dirty chai (pictured) and the most delicious fresh orange juice I’ve had in a long time (maybe ever???). Only giving 4 stars because of the prices (spent >£30) and at points the music felt too intense for 10am

They were super busy, so we had to sit outside. Was a little cramped inside too. However, completely worth the windy weather outside. Food was fantastic & great service!!

The Black Penny is a small, independent cafe located in the heart of Southbank, London. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike, thanks to its delicious food, friendly service, and relaxed atmosphere. I recently visited Cafe for breakfast and ordered the scrambled eggs on toast, accompanied with a pot of earl grey tea. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, fluffy and creamy, with just the right amount of seasoning. The toast was also perfectly toasted, not too hard and not too soft. The earl grey tea was a perfect accompaniment, with a strong, bergamot flavor. I also enjoyed the ambience at cafe. The cafe is small and cozy, with a nice decor. There's a shelf filled with quirky bits and bobs, and a black penny bicycle hung on the wall (the cafe's namesake). The staff are friendly and attentive, and they made me feel welcome right away. Overall, I had a great experience at The Black Penny. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the ambience was perfect. I would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch in Southbank.

Friendly staffs in Waterloo area. Easy access and family/kids friendly. Place is lovely and easy going. A bit of queue all the time so do expect for some waiting time. However staffs always inform the progression of when you could sit. Great exciting menu but the foods flavours are just very average for the price. Quality of ingredients look good and fresh but the flavours are just very normal. Great coffee and fresh juices are good!

Tea? In a pot?!?! Love love love. Fab all day breakfast cafe. I had the 'Hunter' rather than 'Gatherer', one being veggie and one being meaty as you might imagine. Very good indeed. It's not cheap but you do get what you pay for. Crispy bacon, good sausage and eggs and mushroom and tomato. And their 'beans' were fantastic. I saw one of their porridge bowls go by and it also looked suitably expansive and topped with extras.

Excellent place for good food and drink. You maybe have to work out what is what from the food titles, but that is part of the fun. Was full when I was there and in a great location. I have a full English breakfast, it wasn't called that but I soon identified it. The juices were real fruit and coffee was great.
