This was the most interesting and unusual restaurant ever…. Food was authentically Thai and having been to Thailand many many times it was a real treat to taste such good food. Decor was so refreshing to be different from the usual chic and have a descent amount of caricter. .
Authentic Thai food. To start with the ambience, wild and aesthetic. The starters were delicious, prawn and pork dim sum 🤤, prawn tempura soooo good. The weeping tiger with secret homemade sauce was delicious and perfectly cooked. Tilapia green curry was flavorsome. It's bring your own alcohol and CASH ONLY.
Favourite Thai place! I’ve visited many times, food is delicious and the presentation is cute. Decor is wild! They have many vegan / vegetarian as well as meat options. It’s bring your own alcohol and it’s cash only.
What a hidden gem 💎 I loved the food it was amazing 👏🏼 😋 great quality and great atmosphere felt like I was in another part of the world.
Quirky and quaint little gem in Hammersmith
I met up a friend in Hammersmith and she suggested to have a special afternoon tea for the new year. We met up at Hammersmith station and walked for 10 mins to Poppy’ III which is a Thai restaurant and located in a residential area.
Poppy’s III
📍 129 Brackenbury Rd, London W6 0BQ
WHAT WE GOT
Poppy’s Platter
🐔Satay Chicken
🫔Spring Rolls
🍤Prawn Rolls
🥟Vegetable Gyozas
🍞Prawn on Toasts
🦐Prawn Crackers
You can never know it is a Thai restaurant until you look at their menu. It’s decorated like a cafe but also a museum with different animal mounts.
The platter was beautifully presented like an afternoon tea and it’s just £10💖💖💖The Spring Roll and Prawn Roll were crispy and flavourful. The chicken was perfectly matched with the rich satay sauce. The Prawn Toast was topped with sesame seeds which levelled up the tastiness. Love them all😍😍😍
How’s the gyoza? See my next post on Instagram @ccgyozalover for details 🤗
The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. The decor was wonderful. The price is really reasonable. Poppy’s has 3 branches in Hammersmith including @poppythaieatery which located even more closer to Hammersmith station. As they only accept cash, please prepare enough notes if you go there 😉
Love Poppy’s both takeaway and in restaurant. I only have been to the N3 venue, but it looks like they’re all similar. The atmosphere is so quirky and kitsch to result fun and cool. The best thing about Poppy’s though is the food, I can’t ever get enough of their pad Thai and massaman curry, regardless of the massive portions. Other great dishes are, chicken satay, any spring rolls and the salt and pepper squid. The restaurant is cash only and they have a BYOD policy so you can go get a bottle of your favourite wine to sip with your delicious dinner, definitely recommend it!
We came here for a quick spot of lunch. I love the Poppys chain and have visited one of the other restaurants. They have a lunch deal of one starter and main for around £7 which is absolutely phenomenal value. Love the funky interior too as always.
Ok this place is hands down the best restaurant I have been to all year so far, I would give it 6⭐ if possible.
I was left speechless after my meal,
The decor was eclectic and kitsche 👌🏾
So much to look at and be awed by.
I love the exclusivity and location tucked away in suburbia.
No alcohol is served on the premises but it is BYOB - off license just next door !
The service is one of the winning features- the waiting staff are chatty ,knowledgable and go out of their way to help: the waiter dropped one piece of (amazing!) Thai calamari and brought us a fresh piece pronto- very unnecessary but very kind :) ¹
Well done Poppy's Thai ³ - last in their ever-growing empire but certainly not least !
P.s Cash only!!! 🥰
Such wonderful place, in love with the decoration, very cozy, friendly staff, very clean, and you can bring your own drinks!! I definitely will come back
Pleasant reasonably priced Thai restaurant. Byo wine policy makes the meal even more affordable. Quirky decorations but the stuffed animals not for me!
Such a little gem! The food is absolutely delicious, fast service for very friendly prices. You can bring your own alcohol as they don't serve any. Also cash only, so make sure to take some with you.
This has been one of the best experiences of my life. As you walk into a super cool atmosphere that cannot be described you then get to be greeted by a fabulous kitty.
Food? 10/10
Vibes? 10/10
Customer service? 10/10
Advisable to book a table for here. You can bring your own alcohol which is £2 per head. The dishes are a good size and very tasty and good value. This is my go to place when I'm in the area. The decor is odd but kinda makes the place unique.
Decent place with fancy deco. Food is above average with a specially good dish - fried tilapia with three flavor. Cash only place and noted if you got 10 pound in changes, they may give you 10 coins! Happened to me and I found it strange.
Fantastic lunch menu.
They don't sell alcohol but have a corkage fee (£2 per person) and alcohol can be purchased form the off license next door.
The decor is incredible, though, and is a real talking point on each visit.
The food service is fast and the food itself is delicious. This is a regular lunch venue as a result.
Restaurant is cash only.
Loved the food, it was delicious and tasted authentic 🤤 Definitely coming back again!! Loved the starters especially and the pepper beef was spicy 🥵 but I kept having more of it, as it was delicious 😍 dove straight into the food and forgot to take photos 🙈
