Rock Spice Restaurant

Came across this place during late lockdown. They were only serving take-outs and I was passing through. Asked what they had for light lunch on-the-go and the friendly lady recommended the cheesy-chicken kebab roll...new one to me, so tried. Hooked instantly. The lady said visit us again next week - when eating at food venues was being cleared. Went there pretty regularly for the past three months, ate in, took out and even took a few chums down from Kent. The service, the place and the staff SO nice. The chef really nice and very creative - often recommending new little treats. The biriyani is to die for and every dish we had was always AMAZING! Popped down Saturday the 3rd October...sadly, it seems as if its closed down (victim of COVID-19!?) Who knows? No signs that we could see. Very sad. Brief but fond memories of this little gem! Best to all the staff at Rock Spice. Maybe it will re-open (hope so).

I've tried several so called authentic across England and I have to say this ranks as one of the most truly authentic restaurant I've been to.Thoroughly recommend the lamb chowk karahi as well as the Neehari...Excellent authentic food which is full of flavour and excellent service. It's extremely clean and reflected in the 5 STAR hygiene ratings. Thoroughly recommend Spice Rock and will definitely be coming here again!!!!

Very delicious food. From the outside it looks like it would be a romantic restaurant but inside it is more like a fast food place in terms of the seating. It seems authentic Pakistani food but also sells burgers and chips so it is hard to see what the target audience is. But I will definitely go back and try some different curries!

Absolutely delicious food. I really haven't eaten such fresh and thoughtfully prepared (nicely sliced ginger for curries, home made fresh chutnies) Pakistani food in a long time. However, even better than their food was their customer service (a rare thing in many Asian restaurants!). It was a very hot day bit from the chef to the waiting staff, they couldn't do more for us. We had a lovely dinner and will 100% return for more.
