Nestled among the trendy bars and shops on Charlotte St, lies this hidden gem. Upscale with Mediterranean roots, I'm not sure why this place doesn't have more covers. We were able to reserve a table for two on the same day. Well seasoned and nothing over the top, these dishes were fantastic. The fries with Greek mayo are a must have. The spanakorizo is a light and refreshing snack croquette with feta, spinach and rice. The mains were well seasoned. We had the lamb chops and the rib eye. The servers were attentive and offered great suggestions. I highly recommend.

Mediterranean food at its finest! We really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, especially the Dakos salad, Sea bass and roasted aubergine were excellent. The staff was so friendly and attentive, they had excellent suggestions too! Excited to try more stuff from their menu and their chef’s special.

A really fantastic Greek restaurant. According to my dad, Charlotte Street has quite a history of having Greek restaurants from back in the 80s. Perhaps the days of plate smashing are no more, but Ampeli couldn’t be a more perfect modern Greek restaurant to be on this street. The staff are a delight and very professional. The food was absolutely fantastic. As an example, even the mayo dip that came with the (incredible) hand cut chips has a Greek salad blended into it. Wow! The setting was just perfect with stylish interiors. We sat downstairs and had a lovely private table in the corner. So many delicious dishes, and I only booked on the day. It’s a mystery to me as to how this place wasn’t packed out with a queue out the door! Will be back for more. So so good!

Beautiful restaurant, cozy and have a family feel. People are relaxed with positive vibes, thanks to the lovely attentive cool staff, manager Pawl (not sure I spelled name correctly) made our dining experience a memorable one, also the ladies incharge, all are professional and down to earth. Food is great, taste and flavors.

Seriously delicious and flavour packed food being cooked and served here by Ampeli. This one has been on my list of restaurants to try for a while and it definitely did not disappoint with it's blend and own take of Greek and Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. The knockout and must try dishes for me were the octopus with orzo and the bavette steak with coffee and cardomom, both cooked to perfection, layers of flavour and just really damn good food! If you're into it, their cod roe dip is fantastic and you'll really be able to knock back alot of that with their homemade (warm) pitta. For dessert, would highly recommend the loukoumades with cinnamon and honey syrup, this dessert can easily be shared as it's a fairly big portion size and quite indulgent. The staff were fantastic, very polite and super helpful when helping us to decide on the number of dishes to order and recommendations. Service was perfect and efficient. Price wise, I think they are very fair (being on the mid to high range) for this quality level of cooking but you won't be breaking the bank and the portion sizes are ample. Ampeli has now quickly become one of my top and favourite restaurants on Charlotte Street.

One of my favorite restaurants in london for sure. Great Mediterranean recipes with a kick. I highly recommend the lamb chops, the flavor is incredible and the cabbage on the side it’s heavenly. Very nice reserved vibe, perfect for a date! 40-50£ pp

Good to average food, but not the amazing we were hoping for. Most dishes were very under seasoned, except for the cod roe dip. The cod roe dip was delicious but didn't come with enough bread. The veggie dishes were unfortunately a bit bland. The lamb chops were overcooked. They were barely pink inside. The octopus orzo was yum but not enough octopus :( Service was amazing though and the restaurant has great vibes.

I found this place near by my hotel, and it’s one of my lovely surprising discoveries in London. I can’t see anything below 5 ⭐️. Staff: very nice, helpful, attentive, and accommodating. Food: it speaks of itself, very delicious. We had the Fita dip, Muhammara, Charcoal Beetroot, Grilled Chicken thighs and Ox Cheek. Everything was rich in flavor and presented with perfect portions.. I will visit them again every time I’m around.. Make your booking in advance, preferably by phone since the online service requires Credit Card details. Thanks to all the staff for their professional and lovely attitude. It has been a pleasure to experience the food at Ampéli 🙏🏼

We came here to celebrate a graduation as it was quite close to UCL and the food looked to be decent. We were happily surprised by how delicious everything was! And the staff even managed to decorate the dessert for the occasion. This has definitely become one of my top restaurants in the area. Some highlights for me would be the Josper-Grilled Lamb Chops (this dish was perfection) and the Dingley Dell Pork Chop. It was also happy hour when we went so we ordered an espresso martini royale and a METAXA old fashioned. I would definitely recommend trying this place out if you haven’t already.
