River Fish Bar is everything that is good and holy about fish and chips: delicious fish, well-sized and cooked chips, a wide range of options and really, really good value. I am gutted to have moved further away but will be making frequent pilgrimages back along the Essex Road.

Since River Fish Bar has been taken over, the cooked fish and chips are brilliant, dare I say better than Sutton and Sons down the road and half the price. They cook to order, hence very crispy...Yum

Due to horrible weather we decided to grab a take away on the way home. Never normaly do this so what a great surprise to get such lovely fish and chips! Fish tasted really fresh and not greasy. Chips were fab too. We have lived here 30 years, what I have missed!

Fantastic fresh food, cant fault it. BUT, didnt receive order from uber driver 2 saturdays in a row. Had to claim money back from uber and thats not easy as they only receive calls from merchants and drivers. Its a shame for the shop as they must have dishonest drivers delivering for them. Therefore i will not use this shop for delivered food.
