I really didn't imagine that a restaurant on a boat parked in the middle of a canal in Hackney Wick would be so good! We went for Sunday roast and everything was excellent. The waitress who served us was super friendly. It's true that the service slowed down as more and more people arrived, but we were having a good time on the top deck of the boat and we didn't mind. Highly recommended, especially when the weather is nice!

Cool place to ensure a relaxed meal on the canals at Hackney Wick. Weather was superb and sunny, so that made it even better. Food was pretty good, considering the location and the limited resources they have to make things happen. Service was friendly and laid back. I must say, we weren't that comfortable sitting on the decking type seating outside on the deck, maybe some decent cushions wouldn't be a bad idea, and the tables top isn't level, which is a minor irritant, but after a few hours it was time to get it sorted. Overall, a good experience to have a relaxed meal out on the canal, keep pushing forward Barge East!

This was an Anniversary meal, and I must say the whole set up was a pleasurable experience, the views across the river, the rustic barge and staff all added in a positive way. The food was ok but I was not blown away by it as I wanted to be. Full Sunday roast was 3 adequate meats, gristly and fatty in places,4 potatoes and 1 carrot. The gravy came in a small egg cup sized boat. Bloody Mary was strong, very salty, and way too fussy. The dessert, was wonderfully tasty, but the whole thing could fit on the dessert spoon. The price was high for the food & drink we ordered. Don't get me wrong it was the whole vibe that won us over in the end, rather than the meal

Visited Barge Eadt after attending Abba Voyage. Loved the atmosphere inside and outside in the gardens. We visited on a Sunday, so only roasts on offer. The majority of our good was delicious, but a few of our group mentioned that their beef was a little tough 😕 My Pochetta was absolutely heaven, and the vegetables had delicious flavouring. Loved being able to see the food being prepared on the tiny kitchen. It's not a cheap meal out, but we would definitely visit again. Wish we had longer to enjoy the music and atmosphere outside in the garden, lovely sunny Sunday vibes 😎

Delicious food, chose the 2 course pre theatre menu. Good choice. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Slight criticism, would have liked meal to be hotter. Otherwise fabulous place would recommend.

A very unique experience grabbing food and drinks on a boat. The staff treated us to complimentary Prosecco which was really nice. Theres a good selection of sides, small dishes and mains - they all tasted amazing and presented beautifully. There was also quite an extensive drinks menu too! All in all, the atmosphere was great and it’s definitely a place to visit during the summer!

This was such a lovely meal and a great place for a birthday or special occasion. The staff were lovely and attentive and the food was beautiful. We had the tomatoes with goats cheese and asparagus to start, then the chicken, venison and market fish from the à la carte menu and everything was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Could not recommend enough!

Was taken here for dinner for my 50th and we were luck to get the private dining room called the Cabin… a lovely room where you could play your own music … we had the 6 course taste menu… all the food was outstanding. My only criticism would be the size of the portions and the lack of any sides of bread or potato’s to bulk it out a bit. The venison was outstanding.

We booked a table here ahead of going to see Abba Voyage. The weather was great and this venue was the perfect spot to enjoy beers, cocktails, and food. Fabulous concept, chilled holiday type vibe, and top service. Loved it and could easily have spent the whole evening there.
