Finally had a chance to eat my first fish and chips while visiting London this week. OMG Trawlerman did not disappoint with their fish and chip lunch special (only £7 - that’s a deal by London standards). Cod was perfectly cooked (not oily or greasy at all) and the chips were yummy and plentiful. Would definitely recommend this place.

Massive portions, please keep up this great value. Only complaint is that it costs 2-4 pounds more to eat in but I’m sure that’s to offset the serving costs. Can’t wait to go again :)

We had several large cod and chips orders and were very full and satisfied. If you are not that hungry, definitely get the regular size and maybe share an order of chips.

I was visiting North London Wednesday, prior to this I looked up good fish a chip shops in north London. Came across the Trawlerman so stuck it in my notes to go find it and have a fish and chip. On Wednesday totally forgot about the Trawlerman and ended up walking past it and turned around and said I’ll take a chance and eat in. I was the only person in the shop when I went through the door was greeted by friendly staff. Was a bit worried that no one was in there put it was only 4 o clock in the day on a Wednesday. I ordered fish and chip (regular) and a battered Sausage. I took a seat as I was eating in a bit shocked at the price as it was 21 pound which was steep but had noticed in general England has gone very pricey. Was waiting 10 minutes food came down and for a regular meal it was pretty big. Dug in and must I say it was 10/10 fish was so lovely and crispy and the fish itself lovely and soft with great taste. Chips were nice added salt and vinegar as you do and they were delicious! alongside a massive battered sausage which was also nicely done! Very clean place tables toilets were spotless! When leaving the place started to get busy. My only downside is the price but In general every place i found was pricey.

Delicious chips and cooked really well. I popped in just by chance and chatted to the friendly staff whilst I waited - I like my chips a little crispy! I would like to see more vegan options like fried tofu or some vegan sausages aswell please. I'll be adding this to my list of places to get chips in North London!

I didn't like fish and chips until I tried Trawlerman Fish and Chips. Very good batter, crispy but not too oily. Chips was also really good. Very decent portions. Curry sauce goes so well with the fish, not too strong but very good addition.

I ordered their lunch fish and chips deal, £5.50. For that price, I expected small tray of fish and chips (inflation these days and this is London after all). Instead, I was given a PROPER-SIZED fish and chips! Cooked fresh to go. VALUE FOR MONEY, would highly recommend.

This has got to be the best fish and chips I ever tasted!! Everything was cooked fresh in front of you. I had scampi and chips and sausage in batter. My partner had fish and chips. Everything Is made fresh in front of you. They fill the box with the most chips you will not feel hungry at all! Very generous portion and the price we paid was very good too! Couldn’t finish mine all in one go but had the rest later. So good! Clean really fresh tasting food! The staff didn’t disappoint either, they were really nice, friendly and polite. We will recommend to everyone and being local, it will become our regular now we have found this place 😊

I just popped into this new chip shop and I’m so glad I did. The staff was lovely and welcome. We had a lovely chat and the chef told me about the history of the business. The food was great, I had Haddock and chips. The food was lovely and fresh. The portion was very good sized. I really enjoyed it. They have seating inside and take away too. I highly recommend it.

This is a great place for the tastiest chips. The owner is accommodating for vegans who are very particular about not sharing oil with other food. My family and I had the best chips and meal from here, the service was quick and food was impeccable. I often see the team giving away free food to the homeless. Keep up the awesome service guys, the community needs you!

A working lunch. Good fish, but our numbers overwhelmed the staff a bit.

Best fish and chip shop I know of in London! I’m from New Zealand so it’s pretty damn hard to impress me when it comes to fish and chips in the UK. However, the team at the Trawlerman really do tick all the boxes. Non-greasy, large and quality portions, full of flavour and certainly value for money, surprisingly good quality fish, and to top it off - brilliant customer service with a smile. Great for takeaway or eat in! A regular pleasure!

It's been far too long since we had a chippy in the area and this is well worth it, and a very welcome return during these Covid19 days. Fish was great and the chips were above average. Service is not the quickest but that's not really a concern right now, plus the fish is fried to order so it's all good. Much prefer ordering direct than using Deliveroo, whose riders are consistently unable to perform contact-free deliveries. -- Return edit: I've been back and I think the quality has dropped significantly. First was satisfactory and chips were kind of dismal. Really wish they would do some basic fine tuning of the main event. They remain popular in the area but could be doing more to establish their dominance.
