Fabulous, unpretentious spot.
Food is simple, homemade and superb. Portions are big so don’t get carried away with ordering like we did.
I’m not Turkish but you can tell it tastes like food your Granny would make for you. From the gorgeous lentil and chicken soup, to the manti we tried as we read some reviews on it.
Go in hungry, ready to over order and take some home for dinner!
Great spot with friendly service and nice seating. Food was very good and the portions were extremely generous. I would recommend both hot and cold mixed meze, the İçli Köfte and desserts in particular but everything was delicious.
There are a few Turkish restaurants in Dalston but I do believe this is one of the best ones in the area.
The staff are attentive to your needs, food arrived soon after ordering and the food was amazing. The lamb dish was cooked to perfection. I will certainly go again and explore other options on the menu.
Went here for lunch and it was seriously amazing. So much food for such a good price. Also very good vegan options
Good Turkish food amazing sarma! And depending on who does the gözleme it’s either the best in London or mediocre.
My favourite spot in Dalston! The Turkish breakfast and Village breakfast are incredible: super good value and delicious. The staff are friendly too. A gem!
Excellent Turkish food at great prices. Wonderful spot for breakfast. The eggs in particular were amazing.
Yummy home-cooked food & super friendly customer service. Great value for money. I’ll be back!
Breakfast was good. Service was friendly. Only fault I can give is the menu was very simple not much breakfast options.
A great little place. Home style cooked food, friendly service, good prices. Thank you
No reviews? I think perhaps because they've recently changed their name.
I went here a few days ago, and liked it so much I came back for breakfast yesterday!
It's refreshing to see a place along this stretch of road that isn't predominantly Mangal (grill/kebab). In fact, they don't even have a typical grill set up.
Instead, this is genuine cosy Turkish home cooking! Full classic breakfast spreads, Menemen (a sort of omelette), Gozleme, Soups, Manti (a sort of traditional pasta dish with different stuffings).
They have vegetarian and vegan options too.
I had traditional lentil soup, and it tasted exactly like it does in Turkey. My friend had grilled and baked Aubergine stuff with lamb it was delicious. The accompanying rice tasted very close to classic street food rice in Turkey (which is *really* hard to find in London... I don't think I've ever been to a place in London where the rice really tastes the same).
The staff are very friendly: you can tell it's a real family run business and they really care. The chap running the restaurant floor said it was just his aunt and sister in the kitchen! He was very warm.
Of course, as is typical of Turkish hospitality, fresh bread, pickles, and olives were included at no extra cost. The first time we went our after dinner teas were on the house to.
For breakfast yesterday we both had Menemen. it was very nice: with a touch of spice. Menemen is a very regional and particular thing: it feels like every time I have it it's different (including when I make it myself). but this one was very tasty. We also had a Simit (tasted freshly baked) with feta, cucumber, and tomato too. Delicious.
Oh, and very reasonably priced!
This is not gourmet: it's cosy home cooking, but well presented.
Thank you very much! Definitely can recommend.
Sorry I forgot to take photos of my food. You'll just have to take my word, as someone who has spent a lot of time eating in Turkey!
Incredible turkish homemade food, almost good as my mother's food.
This place is amazing! Great, homemade food, abundant portions and amazing prices! I've been there quite a few times and will continue to go back. Maybe place could be open at night, as well?
The food is very good, the . service perfect. The blonde lady is very nice, all the times smile and give warm welcome.
I’ve been their customers since they started.
The quality is always consistent, friendly and quick service, generous portions, prices are very affordable for Dalston standards. I loved their tostie, Turkish breakfast and green bean stew. I couldn’t be happier customer. Delicious, generous and feels like home.what can I say more? I recommend!
The food tasted very good. You felt like you were in Turkey. The workers are very polite and respectful to the customers.
We are very grateful for the service!
Staff very friendly and great service, food very tasty and decent portion size
My favourite gözleme on the strip. Either grab one to go or pitch up in a booth for lunch and enjoy with pickles on the side. Guaranteed to be playing amazing music that you will want to Shazam.
Great Turkish breakfast and gözleme here, all freshly prepared. A very enjoyable experience with friendly, helpful staff. I look forward to returning and can highly recommend this restaurant.
