Sumi Restaurant - London - Photo album

As the sister restaurant of Endo, I came here with high expectations. I have to say this fish is some of the best I’ve had outside of Japan. On the expensive side, but to be expected for the quality. The temaki concept was interesting (slightly tricky to eat, but delicious). I would recommend the t
Lovely restaurant with minimalist Japanese design. Food was delicious, and a good choice available. Loved the temaki range (hand rolls/tacos)! A great choice for a special occasion!
My favorite dish are the signature of Akami Temaki and Toro-Taku Temaki !! So much worth for calories ! The fish is so fresh. Sashimi also perfect. Recommended to taste ! Also, I have try Miso Cheesecake, special dessert of this day ! Very appreciated 🫰🏻❤️
Amazing food, super quality. The agedashi tofu was superb, otoro and chu toro were amazing. It is certainly expensive but the quality of vegetables and fish make it worth it. The team were super friendly and nice but we were sitting near the back of the resto so it was quite noisy - pots and pans c
After spending some time trying to find a very good sushi/Japanese restaurant in London that is easy to book and not overpriced, I have to say that Sumi fits the bill perfectly. In my experience this restaurant is underrated on Google maps as I did not find any issue with the food, service or price,
Sumi is possibly my favorite restaurant in the world. It is situated on Tofo Beach, Mozambique. The food is incredible. The decor is unique and beautiful. The owner, Nobina, is always on hand, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and fun. Good to book in advance, but you won't regret eating there.
The food is superb!! Highly recommend the yellowtail sashimi salad. The staff are helpful and friendly. Recommend booking a table before going.
Very fresh fish. Loved the texture and flavour of the sushi rice. Seaweed on the tamaki could be wee bit toastier but all in all a great casual sushi joint! My favourites were otoro nigiri (both fresh and torched) and hotate tamaki 😊
Loved it! Excellent Japanese restaurant!! First time having sushi after pregnancy and it was an amazing treat!!
Overall still a 5!! Lovely people, food is delicious plus a nice sake collection. Would love to be given the wasabi-nuki option in the future.
Amazing experience, food was great (although slightly small on the portion sizes) and staff went above and beyond. Great service in particular from bartender Nico and our server from Turin (who’s name we unfortunately didn’t catch).
One of the best sushi places in London - Great quality of everything. It was not my first visit though, never disappointing! I am glad that Uni is back on the menu. The service was also fantastic and we got another temaki because of the chef's mistake(We did love it🤣). I would highly suggest to sti
Seaweed salad, sashimi, black cod, ceviche - these things are on many menus. But Sumi is another standard entirely. And the staff truly professional. One of the best in the city.
I had been wanting to visit Sumi for some time, and thankfully it lived up to expectations. Some of the best sushi I've had outside of Japan. Fresh fish, expertly cut on beautiful rice - exquisite, understated elegance. Try the Gohan too - a brilliant wholesome dish. Don't go here for a quick chea
Taco sushi were so yummy. Rice was premium quality and fishes were so fresh. Salmon teriyaki was tender and crispy skin on top. It was perfectly cooked serve with simple tasty sauce. Best Matcha crepe I had!!
The sushi here is incredible, everything just melts in your mouth. I wish I had a second stomach so that I could have eaten more! Will definitely be back again.
I love everything this place has to offer. We came here for lunch and was properly satisfied. Service was impeccable and accommodating. We had a lot of food during lunch and everything tasted beautiful. Temaki hand rolls were tasty. Beef gohan is a slow cooked beef on freshly cooked rice. Be sure to
One of the best sushi places I've tried in London. You can feel the soft texture of the fish and it just melts in your mouth. The thing I loved about the place is that the sushi is made in a traditional Japanese way and not modernized with heavy sauces like the "California roll". Highly recommended
LOVED the agedashi tofu (although it wasn’t fried like it is traditionally), great light starter for the meal. The témaki were good, especially the hamachi, but I wish the seaweed had been crunchier and they all lacked some soy sauce/seasoning. Fish overall however was very fresh. Wasabi cocktail wa
