Sourdough Sophia

I just wanted to share with you what a hit the cheesecakes were with all the extended family :) we got 2 whole ones for a party do 30 which was ample. And it was great we could collect in the morning of the party. Hopefully some of them who live in North London will pop by and discover your other delicacies - like the gorgeous chocolate cookie I brought today to warm me up - not to mention the seedy sourdough. You are a great addition to Crouch End

The sourdough is excellent and Sophia is just as fantastic as this bakery. We have been fans from afar and had the opportunity to visit while in London on holiday from the states. She was kind and generous with her time while in the midst of an exciting expansion of the bakery. Not to mention, the bread, sandwiches, and pastries were delicious! We wish the bakery the best and will be visiting again when we return.

Sophia and Jesse has kindly taken me on for work experience recently. I truly enjoyed being a part of their team and learning so much about baking, and talking to everyone there. All of them were very kind to me. It was really fun and enjoyable to be doing what I love for a week. A big thanks to them for making it happen!

I’ve moved to Crouch End a couple of months ago and can’t get enough of Sourdough Sophia bread and pastries. Absolutely delicious! The staff is always friendly and the shop looks fancy and very inviting. Furthermore, they made my niece’s dream to come through when they took her on her first work experience. It always warms my heart when I meet such kind, capable and ethical young business people.

Everything we saw and tasted was amazing and the staff were super friendly. While of course there are cheaper places you can go for bread, sweets and coffee, you have to keep in mind the high quality ingredients Sophia uses, the time it takes to create these types of breads and pastries, how she compensates her staff fairly and what it takes to be a small business owner in London during times like these. Having seen the journey Sophia has been on for the last few years and all that it has taken for her to endure the challenges and get to this point, I am more than happy to pay a fair price for the extremely high quality and tasty products she and her team create.

I’ve been a fan from afar (I live in California), but this summer finally got to visit Sourdough Sophia while on vacation! It was every bit as amazing in person as it is on IG! The staff was was incredibly friendly and the bread and cruffins were absolutely delicious! My family and I loved the experience and wish we lived closer!

Wow! We trekked to Sourdough Sophia from Kentucky, USA and it was worth the trip! After my daughter spent part of Covid following Sophia and her amazing baking adventures from afar, I’ve been eager to one day experience Sophia’s delicious sourdough creations in person. We ordered numerous items, and ALL were fabulous…flaky and/or crusty exteriors, soft insides, and flavors that make us want to return again and again! Thank you, Sophia, for this delicious day, and also for the inspiration you give to others who attempt their hand in the sourdough world! 5 stars! 👩‍🍳🍞🥖🥐🥨

Absolutely LOVE Sourdough Sophia. We live locally and were thrilled to stumble upon this amazing bakery when we moved to the area. We always bring people when they visit! Everything is delicious - the best pastries I think I’ve ever had. The seasonal flavour combinations, freshness, and good quality ingredients do not go unnoticed. You get a real sense of community and a feeling that the staff genuinely enjoy working there! Lovey coffee too. We’re living in tough times where it feels like everything is expensive, especially in London, but I love spending my money here - for the quality every single time - a bonus to know you’re supporting a lovely team and a local business! Keep it going guys 👏👏👏
