For whatever reason this place is hard for Uber drivers to find! We came here twice for dinner during our London stay and had only two of 4 drivers get close. We came twice because we enjoyed our inexpensive but tasty steak meals and the Mac & cheese and mashed photo sides were off the chain! The ambiance is not fine dining but was good enough to have a line out the door the first night ( Sat ). I would recommend reservations after seeing so many walk away after being told about the 1 hour wait. The price of the food and drinks was by far the best value we encountered while eating out in downtown London our first 3 days. Everybody liked the complimentary ice cream cones or cup. It has a slightly different taste then what we’re used to in the US. If we were ever lucky enough to return we would probably try one of the other locations just to see if it’s the same.

Always a brilliant place for a cheap steak.... Very cheeky to add a "optional" donation fee though.... it's never allot 10p here and there no one is gonna say no .... But a little cheeky Mac and cheese my personal favorite. Food is always spot on and staff are always friendly.

Flat iron does a "thing" - theirs is steak and chips with various combinations. Not for vegetarians! It's a similar concept to Miller and Carter but in my opinion better executed and better value. On arrival there is water and popcorn on the table which is nice to munch on while you start to chat. Ordering was quick enough and the food came quickly. The portions are all a good size but not huge so you don't over eat unless you order too much! We had burger each and shared dripping fries, mac&cheese with truffle and creamed spinach. All was delicious although I'm still having truffle burps! This was plenty for two. As with miller and carter I did find it a little greasy since the chips were cooked in dripping as apparently was the popcorn!!! Maybe order salad instead of fries! Oh and you get a little cleaver token which you can swap for an ice cream on exit - they don't do deserts so this is it. Simple but it works! I've had a steak in Flat Iron before too and it was superb. Bill came to £48 with one beer.

I hadn’t been to a Flat Iron since before Covid, and I was pleasantly welcomed with the same good quality I was used to expect, with fair price rises but still managing a good meal, perfectly cooked tender meat and smashing sides… and not to forget the free popcorn and ice cream. Loved the decor at the Borough joint.

Everything was perfect and couldn’t ask for better. The atmosphere and food were amazing, their steak taste great for the price and creamy spinach is really recommended as a side. But the best thing ever was the service, the friendly staff made my day. Upon entrance without booking, the staff did the best to find us a table even though the busy hour. We’ve been served by Theodore who sat with us to have a chat and to take care of our order. Great guy, has humour and does a good job. Made us feel home. As it was my birthday he even offered a beautiful ice cream dessert which was made by himself and was the cherry to the cake, great customer service and will be sure to go again :).

Great experience. Service is quick, sharp and food delicious. Price point is very fair and affordable. If you’re looking for a piece of meat visit a flat iron.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon with my handsome lady. Warm & gracious welcome upon entry by the maitré de. With no reservation made we were whisked to a cosy 2 seat table, stool & bench arrangement. Complimentary beef dripping popcorn F1 Wagyu Flank ×2 Chips Creamed Spinach Bone Marrow Fat Garlic Mash Vesuvio Tomatoes Delicious food, good service, some top bops played overhead and a good time had by all. We always enjoy our visits to Flat Iron restaurants. Not withstanding: free vanilla ice-cream at the end.

This place appeared like a miracle as checking out Clink Street in dowtown London, and thinking about how I wanted to eat a steak as I'd had Seafood the past two nights. This place knows steak! My steak was cooked to Perfection and was outstanding. My waiter Dima was also very personable and gave me some good tips on where to find some things I was looking for around London. So if you're in the neighborhood and you want a great steak I highly recommend this place. And they even give you a free ice cream cone out the door!

Servers were very friendly and instantly greeted us. For 2 people , both meals came to £40 which was a very reasonable price. This is a great place for a quick and easy convenient meal when you’re in London. Definitely worth the hype !!

We visited here after seeing them on social media. The staff were very friendly, fun and very helpful. We arrived early, but were seated straightaway. Oh... and you get a cup of free popcorn whilst you wait for your food. Our food came quickly, and was really delicious. We had the steak dinner, with chips in beef dripping, the truffle macaroni cheese and roasted vegetables. The food is very well presented. A slight negative, in my opinion, the sides could be a little bigger, and maybe more sauce. A pound for the amount of sauce is poor. The atmosphere is cosy and comfortable. At the end of your meal, you receive a tiny meat cleaver - the size of a bracelet charm - which you use to get a free icecream cone as you're leaving. This was some quality icecream.

Meat to die for!!! If one wants to eat good meat, one must stop at this place. Located a few steps away from the tower bridge, the restaurant has several seats but you should definitely book online to secure your place. The staff are welcoming, friendly and very nice! Before accompanying you to your table they offer you a cup of popcorn and after dinner a cream ice cream cone. We had 2 fillet steaks and 2 sliced steaks, cooked rare, one better than the other. The side dishes were also delicious, especially the spinach and mashed potatoes seasoned with garlic, meat and bread. All gluten-free, of course, with a specification from the waiter. Big, clean bathrooms. Really good prices. I recommend it!

You are greeted with fresh popcorn you can munch on at your table while deciding what to eat. The food is FANTASTIC and the service is just as good! Very moody atmosphere, a perfect place to get a great steak, with tasty sides and a glass of wine. Then you can stroll along the Thames to enjoy London' glittering skyline at night.

We were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids walking past on a cold Sunday in the early evening. We got lucky as there was a table for us available and all the staff members were very welcoming and friendly. Being a regular at Flat Iron, we knew what to expect, but it was our first time in this branch. I appreciated what Flat Iron did with the place in comparison with the previous business. It looks much cosier now. The steaks were a little cold when they arrived, but still delicious and warm enough to satisfy our hungry stomachs. We were also given multiple chances to give feedback to several staff members, which was appreciated. I am also sure, given the quality of the service, that if we had mentioned that the steaks were a bit colder, we would have been offered having them recooked or the problem would had been rectified in some way, but we didn't consider it necessary. Thank you. Only one thing to add. It is shame that Flat Iron doesn't have more winter suitable dessert to offer. Such as a small cup of hot chocolate, or tea as an alternative, for example. It didn't stop us and many others from having it, but offering ice-cream before the customer goes out to the cold does seems like a money-saving tool.

Delicious all round, we had three different steaks and TBH I think the standard Flat Iron was the winner, perfectly medium rare, soft and tender. The sides were also very tasty, the bone marrow mash, the Mac and Cheese and the spinach. I didn't have a chance to try the chips cooked in beef fat, next time!
