Love this place. Was there again today and the food and service were fab (as always). The menu is short and to the point - 3 types of chicken, some sides and drinks. Because the menu is short there is no hiding but the kitchen doesn't disappoint. Chips were perfectly cooked (crisp and hot) and the green salad was dressed properly (nice mix of leaves too). I had the za'atar chicken which was tangy and my friend rated the peri peri too.
For those who baulk at the price, I think it is good value given the quality of the ingredients. Chicken should not be cheap - with poultry you get what you pay for. Check out the Sidechick supplier page and you will see that their meat comes from a proper, reputable source.
I'll end were I started - I love this place. Everyone else around me seemed to be having a great time too!

Every dish we ordered was delicious and full of flavour. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the interiors are spot on. Would highly recommend!

Seeing how flamboyantly dramatic and overly theatrical some of the recent negative comments were, I thought it might be appropriate to share my positive experience at SideChick yesterday.
I had the chef’s lunch special which came presented as a generous helping of chicken thigh, salad and potatoes (I’m off carbs and the friendly staff offered a larger portion of salad which was very much appreciated).
The chicken thigh was deliciously roasted, just the right amount of char and juiciness. I might add that the marinade lent a harmonious tang to the glorious chicken juices and made for an alchemy of sweetness, umami and acid.
Now the real surprise was the salad - the pickled cucumbers were a brilliant counterpoint to the baby gems. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Was pricing fair? Well in thinking about the quality of the produce, the prep and thought that went into the recipes, along with the warm service and comfortable setting, I think it’s good value.
Naysayers (and haters) would be pleased to know that the Waitrose down the road has a rotisserie counter.
I’ll be back for sure (hopefully with better pictures this time).
Nice work team.

Really nice sides and friendly service. We tried the peri peri chicken. It was tender and came boneless, but the flavour was not particularly strong which was a let down.

Juicyness of the chicken was on point. Compliments to the chef. Was a tad confused at the lunch deal only being an off-menu chicken, jerk chicken - which wasn't very true to a jerk chicken recipe, and was a bit lightly seasoned so required you to buy extra sauce which kinda eliminated any lunch deal savings. Probably worth checking out the other dishes.

Tasty food, peri Chicken was the best flavour. Service was a bit slow, 40mins to receive food but they were busy.

Absolutely delicious food, think of it as an upscale Nandos with table service. Generous portions and a great range of sides/veggies. Service was slow, we had to wait a while for our food but staff comped our drinks so it seems this isn't typical. Would definitely return.

Everything we had was delicious - especially the chimichurri chicken. Staff were lovely. A bit pricey but thought it’s worth the price - would definitely come for the lunch menu deal!

First of all, the website I used to book table was Resy. They suck. The lovely chap who greeted us mentioned that the booking had been ‘cancelled’ which was inaccurate, as I literally had a text from Resy 48 hrs prior to confirm my booking, to which I texted back ‘confirmed’…
He gladly had a table and seated us downstairs.
Our lovely waitress, Eleanor, was incredibly nice, friendly and so pleasant. We need more beautiful humans like Eleanor in the world!
Order 2x 1/2 chickens - za’atar and chimichurri. Banging. Aubergine = banging. Taters = banging. Cocktails = also banging.
Great experience and seasonal menu too. Thank you for going over and above my sensory experience :)
