Flesh & Buns Kensington

We had a wonderful time here for my birthday. We were welcomed so nicely by the team, their service was excellent throughout, and they had great knowledge of both the food and drinks menu so were able to make fantastic recommendations we all enjoyed. We had four small plates and four “flesh and buns” plates, which were all delicious and very well presented, as well dessert - the marshmallows were epic. The team also went above and beyond to make my birthday meal feel special. A special shout out to Adam, the manager, who showed great appreciation for his team, which is always really nice to see as a customer who has worked in food service before! Our waitress was lovely and she made sure to accommodate my wife’s nut allergy, sadly we didn’t catch her name as I’d love to shout her out too. We will certainly be coming back next time we are in London.

Loved the service here! Food was great! Initially my first meal (spicy pork poke don) was quite salty so had to ask for a change..but they were so understanding about it and there was no hastle! Second choice of crispy duck and buns - amazing! Mo was our waiter and he was A-star! Will definitely love to come back again!

Had a great meal here over the weekend, our waitress, Alice or Alex (?) was fantastic, the menu is full of quite obscure Japanese ingredients which we hadn't heard of and she really took the time to explain everything and push us outside our comfort zone. All the food was really fresh and tasty and the portion sizes pretty substantial. Only criticism was there was quite a long wait between starters and mains. We'll definitely be back

Very very good Japanese small plates. Another hit from the bone daddies group Started with the fried squid, really crispy, tender, spicy, delicious bits of squid, alongside sticky, sweet, salty Korean fried wings. Proper wings from a proper chicken Seared tuna sashimi with black truffle, unbelievay fresh unbelievably tasty, with some California maki Went for the short rib and miso aubergine flesh and Buns. The short rib was expectedly amazing, really rich, tender and fatty. Unfortunately the miso aubergine wasn't great, it was incredibly oily and didn't taste of much Also got a beef hot stone rice, but we were pretty full by this point so just kind of forced it down. Tasty though

The food was absolutely exceptional, the wing starters were impeccable, flavored and crispy. The buns platter was fantastic in flavor and the buns were pillowy and so soft. The drink menu was very fun and had a good variety. Overall an amazing meal which was made better by the friendly staff. The only thing I would say needs work is the speed of service it was just a tad slow.
