We visited The goring yesterday 7/10/23 for an afternoon tea as part of a birthday present for my Mother in law. The staff were attentive, personable and professional. The hotel was beautiful and clean. My husband and I have had afternoon tea in another very well known high end place before and I felt out of place where as I did not feel that at The goring. We did not give the rooms any stars as we did not but the dining room where we had our afternoon tea was lovely. Mr and Mrs Drake

This is a beautiful place to be, with luxurious but vibrant surroundings. We were very lucky to come here and had a lovely cosy meal with delicious food and great wine, while a storm raged outside. The picture is of a tasty miniature venison pie with incredible pastry.

Visited for afternoon tea. The hotel itself feels special. The decor is expensive and very tasteful and it has a quiet and private grandness to it. The garden is charming and lovely to sit and have a drink in. The service was very good. The afternoon tea was tasty and they offered more of anything but it wasn't special. It looked very ordinary and the cakes weren't great. The scones were the best bit of it. For the price, it certainly didn't stand out as one of the best afternoon teas I have had.

My Wife and I came here for evening cocktails and bar food. We found the atmosphere to be very genial, relaxed and strangely like we had been here before (we haven't). There were some young children around but they were very well behaved and added to the homely vibe. The hotel facilities are very clean and well maintained. All Staff were very welcoming and helpful, with the explanation of the drinks being particularly good. The signature cocktails were beautiful, complex and varied and the food was very high quality. Drinks can be taken in the garden until 9pm. Will definitely be on our return list when in London.

We stayed in two London hotels on our trip last month because when we were scheduling the trip we couldn't decide between the two so we thought, why not both! The Goring Hotel was the more traditional of the two and was absolutely lovely. Our room had a sitting room and the bathroom had a shower with a stand alone tub that was the the perfect size for a soak (I don't love an overly large tub). When you check in to your room they introduce you to Barbara the sheep and encourage you to take her home with you. Each night during turn down service they moved her to a new spot in the room which I was delighted by and I imagine children would be even more so! They had a very traditional afternoon tea that we really enjoyed and a beautiful display of flowers on the entry as we were there during the Chelsea Flower Show. My only critiques would be that some of the downstairs common spaces could use a bit of an update, particularly the dining room and the breakfast in the morning left something to be desired. All in all though we really loved our stay hear and I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Absolutely stunning, luxury 5* hotel literally 30 seconds walking distance from Buckingham Palace, Victoria Train Station and St James's Park. I can really see why the Royal Family are reported to enjoy staying here on special occasions as every aspect of the hotel is of a royal standard. Special thanks to the incredibly friendly, helpful, professional and efficient Concierge "Jack" who really went over and above in assisting me - phenomenally impressive. My experience was so amazing that I'm already planning my next visit (for Afternoon Tea) with guests from overseas to show them the best hotel in London. 6* Service. Highly recommended 10/10

Perfection. Best part was that, after a week of being unable to access my suitcase, the concierge took it on my behalf to Rimowa to be fixed while my husband and I enjoyed cocktails and tea. We had one slight issue where we were inadvertently charged for caviar we didn’t order but it was immediately removed from the bill without dispute upon checkout. It was handled as a five star property should and this was also remarkable. It is rare the property that gets it all right but they did it.

Beautiful hotel and the front of house team are absolutely amazing! Incredible service considering I was only attending as a Hairdresser to a Bride staying there. To be a guest must be a wonderful experience. Thank you.

My review concerns the Goring Cocktail Bar, not the hotel itself. The bar is wonderful, as is the staff. The person that brought me to my table, Giacomo (I think), was so friendly and did such a great job in a wonderfully busy environment. I was just sorry that Teddy the Shetland was not in residence, that would have made what was a great time, an amazing one.

We visited for an Afternoon Tea experience. Completely blown away. Very lovely. From the moment the uniformed doorman welcomes you all the way through until they summon a cab for you when you leave. Can't speak too highly of my experience.

We stayed at The Goring last week (August 5th-6th). Loved everything about it. Service & staff are what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. Will certainly be going back.

Restaurant for Sunday lunch: Superb service and great food, spacious dining room, not crowded, enough diners for a good atmosphere. Took perhaps slightly too long for the mains to arrive but the standard of the waiting service made up for any slight concern there. Expect to pay £100-150 per head, worth it for the occassional endulgence.

Hotel close to Victoria station - 4 minutes walk. We enjoyed a delightful lunch here as guests of a friend. The staff welcomed us politely, took our coats and showed us through to the bar. A large table and seating was allocated for us as we were a larger group.. Having completed our pre-meal drinks we were taken to a delightful table in the dining room. The food choices were wide ranging for all courses and offered something for most palates. We all enjoyed our selected meals which were nicely presented, hot and tasty. As expected, side courses were extra although most felt them unnecessary given it was lunchtime. The wines selected were good and the price to be expected Would certainly revisit. Worth the money to enjoy the experience of a quality hotel and good food.

I strongly want to tell everybody that my family has come to realize that The UK and London are incredibly lovely places because of The Goring Hotel. I came to London with my family from South Korea. My mother whose age is over 75 lost her bag by mistake. There was a mobile phone and a magnetic card in the bag. The sudden accident caused us to be depressed. The next day, I got a call from the front desk of The Goring Hotel. He said one of the hotel staffs found the discarded bag. We weren't even guests at this hotel. He said there was a mobile phone and a magnetic card in the discarded bag, so he would bring them to our accommodation if necessary. In fact, this is happening almost hard to happen. So we were not able to believe at first. I don't know the spelling of the employee's name, but it looks like Mr. Adama. My family went to the hotel this morning. The hotel was luxurious and all staffs were super friendly. I met Mr. Adama who found the bag through the introduction of the front desk and said great thank to him face to face. My family had tough schedule. So I even forgot to give him a proper reward. After I've left London, I regret it very much. We highly recommend this hotel full of kindness to everyone. I have no doubt that this hotel, which does its best to even unknown visitors, will provide the best service to its customers. I'm going to go back to South Korea and deliever this story to my friend, a newspaper journalist. And I am planning to visit the Goring Hotel again within this year. Once again, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the hotel staff for giving me amazing memory.

An exceptional trip from start to finish. From the moment the trip was booked, and our arrival at the hotel, to the checkout, everything was exceptional. I cannot praise the staff highly enough and I look forward to returning here time and again.

I visited The Goring for a lovely afternoon tea with a friend recently who was treating me for my birthday. What a gorgeous venue. The location with the conservatory area overlooking a spacious green lawn, the gorgeous tea and food menu and perfectly attentive service makes this one of the most luxurious, yet surprisingly affordable venues I’ve been to in London for ages. I highly recommend this place for a luxurious weekend treat and will definitely be back.

Tea in the veranda. While my experience with tea is limited the service was exceptional. The food was also excellent. A lovely experience.
