Knoops is by far the best hot chocolate experience in the UK. It might be underrated by some but I've always loved the range they provide. I was introduced to Knoops in Rye where the residents of the town are crazy about knoops. It's not really the same story at Knoops, Covent Garden owing to it's location inside a very tiny lane. However the taste remains equally good as the cocoa mix is the same. I ordered a 39% Single Origin Ecuador Hot chocolate which was a bit on the sweeter side so wouldn't really recommend it. I even had a 72% single origin Peru which seemed a little more bitter than expected but it's still good. Personally I feel, the best range would be 45-65% cocoa in your hot chocolate for one of the neutral and best experience. However I would really appreciate the staff as they are really kind. The price is a pound on the upper side than any other regular cafe. So for 2 small drinks, I paid £9.50 and even got the only table inside to enjoy my drink.

I visited Knoops Chocolate shop and it was fantastic! Their customizable hot chocolate was a highlight. I could choose the milk percentage, and the flavors were rich and indulgent. The staff was friendly, and the shop had a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend for chocolate lovers!

I had really good iced hot chocolate in new York so I thought this would be something similar. Price is reasonable but I definitely do not recommend the 70 percent iced chocolate with oat milk. Its got like a fruity note....coconut? I dunno, just a terrible taste so I tried really hard not to waste the drink but I still couldn't finish it. Unfortunately it was not a win for me.

What a lovely treat! I highly recommend Knoops if you’re looking to warm up with a hot chocolate or cool down with the BEST milkshake I have ever had in my life. The manager was friendly and he walked me through their system and was happy to give me some recommendations. I ended up choosing the 80% dark chocolate for my milkshake, and it was perfectly balanced, rich, and smooth—utterly delightful!

I've been to this place twice and have ordered the 66% Dark Hot Chocolate both times and realised I'd found a great hot chocolate spot. First visit was a Columbia source and the second visit was a Mexico source. Both were thick and rich in chocolate taste, the Columbia source had nice smooth subtle citrus tones, whereas they were much more prevalent in the Mexico source. It's a nice grab'and'go spot to enjoy a hot chocolate/iced chocolate/milkshake as you walk around London but if you have the intention of sitting down at this location, you may be disappointed, especially on a busy day, as it is only a small space with a few tables and seats. 66% Dark Hot Chocolate (both Columbia and Mexico) - 9/10

Rating hot chocolate 🍫 spots around London - Part 2 . What I think is the best about Knoops is that you can customise the percentage of your chocolate (from 28% to 100%, white, milk or dark chocolate), milk you want (dairy🥛 or plant based🌱) and toppings (cinnamon, orange zest🍊, whipped cream). . For extra cost you can add pumpkin spice🎃(£1), normal or toffee apple🍏marshmallow (£1.50). You can also buy their chocolate flakes to make the chocolate at home. They also have a wide range of gifts for all the chocoholics out there which you can check online. . 📍Location: Covent Garden, Kensington, Chelsea, Richmond, Knightsbridge and Notting Hill 💰Price: depends on what chocolate you choose, ranging from £4-7 per hot chocolate 🙌Overall rating: 8/10 . 🧐Verdict: I ordered 73% dark chocolate. The consistency is somewhere between thick and thin. My chocolate wasn't very sweet due to the high percentage however adding marshmallow and whipped cream on top made it much sweeter so bear this in mind when picking toppings, especially if you don't like it too sweet or want to taste JUST the chocolate. For sweeter taste maybe stick around 50% percentage. I really enjoyed this one and would come back to try more.

Had the 80% chocolate with cardamom and marshmallows. Really good combination and marshmallow adds the necessary sweetness. Would definitely recommend if in search of good hot chocolate :D

Had the 54% iced chocolate, it was really rich and chocolatey! A great drink for the hot weather! Would recommend going for a darker percentage if you prefer less sweet drinks:)

Ordered the iced 54% dark chocolate with orange. The orange peel’s sweetness with a slight hint of bitterness blends well with the chocolate, would recommend ordering an even darker chocolate for a more complex flavour. The price was a bit expensive for a small cup of drink, but is definitely a nice dessert!

I always get the iced chocolate with 34% milk chocolate and this is honestly one of the best chocolate drink I’ve ever had. Special mention to Grace and Manal from the Covent Garden branch cause they know how to make a cracking shake! Definitely a must visit 😍

Amazing experience in Knoops. Not massively busy and my drink was made within a minute of ordering. Very impressed and love this store, have visited many times. Can be chaotic when busy but the last few visits have been perfect. Wish it was bigger inside as would love to sit down and drink my drinks but only a few tables outside which are no good when wet unfortunately.

Good hot chocolate spot in the heart of London! Knoops has a wide variety of chocolate drinks - hot and cold, with carousing percentage of cocoa so that’s perfect to accommodate for everyone’s different tastes and liking. The staff are quite friendly and happy to tell you more about what options you’d like based on your preference. Another plus of this place is their pastries and cakes - as you can see in the below photo they’re popular so run out quickly! The place is open until 11pm usually so perfect when you’re outside in the West End at night. Plenty of super tasty vegan options too!

Interesting take on the simple hot chocolate drink. The 43% hot chocolate seemed the best and it tasted great too! Right amount of chocolate with hazelnut and butterscotch notes. Also tried the 39% hot chocolate with orange zest (additional topping) and though it was not as good as the former, the flavours of almond and nougat went well together. Getting a bunch of dried orange zest towards the end didn't feel that good though so I'll probably avoid any add-ons next time.

Great hot chocolate. Sometimes if its busy you may have to wait a little, but it’s definitely worth it. They have vegan marshmallows and cream available as well as a range of things you can add to your drink (such as turmeric powder or cardamon) for free. Wide range of milk alternatives as well. May be a little bit hotter than expected. The cookie was massive. In this branch there is also limited seating. It’s more of a pit stop place.
